Introduction
Nowadays, the health monitoring industry had developed knowledge and science on the
basis of wireless sensing node technology. Patients have been facing a critical situation of an
unforeseen demise due to various reasons of diseases; this is usually caused due to the
nonexistence of a god quality medical maintenance provided to the patients whenever required.
This is used by the health monitoring institutes for the purpose of specially monitoring the
patient that are comparatively old. In the traditional methods, the doctors had played a very vital
role in the process of health check up. This particular process needs a huge amount of time for
registration, appointment and hence checkup. Reports have been generated on the fact that due
to a lengthiness of the process, various working people aim in ignoring the checkups and hence
postpone it. This particular modern approach aims in reducing the time that is consumed in this
particular process. In the recent years, the usage of wireless technology has increased for
upholding various sectors. In the recent years IoT had groped the maximum industrial area
especially the control and automation. Biomedical is considered as one of the trends that
provides better health care. These advantages are provided not just in health monitoring

Cloud computing in health monitoring systems
From the report that has been carried out it has been found out that IT from infrastructure
to various applications is usually delivered as well as consumed in the form of a service over the
network. The services that are introduced operate in a consistent manner, irrespective of various
underlying systems. Capacity as well as performance scale is introduced for meeting the demand
of the institutes as well as the patients. Adopting the solutions of cloud computing within the
industry of health monitoring, makes the industry more convenient as well as cost effective. The
cloud within the health monitoring system has the ability to offer on-demand computing with
eth use if the latest technologies for the purpose of deploying access, as well as use the
networked information, resources and applications. Besides this, it has a complex infrastructure
as well which might be challenging to understand. In most of the cases, the end users are very
sure that cloud computing is considered as the best choice for the business of health monitoring,
as it is less costly instead of having numerous computers in numerous medical rooms, each of
the systems need proper hardware, network accessibility as well as network for the purpose of
uploading, storing as well as retrieving patient of any other data related to the industry. IT
solutions in the field of health monitoring had offered numerous benefits to that particular
industry. Nowadays the enhanced security as well as safeguards has been in place for the
solutions of cloud computing, carriers, service providers and many more. Various health
monitoring organizations could resist easily knowing the fact that they have been protected from
the potential tools of control over the certain confidential data related to patients.

Limitations of the cloud computing in health monitoring industry
The implementation of cloud computing has numerous limitations; these limitations
include losing control on data. Various health monitoring institutes might hesitate in
implementing cloud within their organizations due to the fear that they would lose control of the
data. Various covered entities require choosing their CSPs or other business associates that
assist with the cloud computing in a wise manner. Comprehensive as well as updated BAAs
would help in ensuring the fact that data would stay secured. Investing in various cloud-to cloud
securities as well as monitoring capabilities would be very critical in nature. One more
limitation that is provided to the industry includes data security concerns. According to various
researchers, the average number of used cloud services in a particular institute had dropped from
43 to 29 in the year of 2015 to 2016. Most of the professionals who had surveyed on the cyber
security had said that the institutes had slowed done their plan of adopting cloud services within
their institutes due to their lack of skills in the field of cyber security. In many cases, the access,
encryption as well as authentication along with some more factors of security controls are
disabled or left behind with default settings, this particular issue might result in unauthorized
access to or the disclosure of data. One more limitation of implementing cloud in the health
monitoring industry includes implementation, switching from a particular on-premise
installation to the cloud infrastructure means changing the complete method of handling various
tasks. Health monitoring aims in providing planning for the implementation of cloud solution
that must ensure that everyone involves in speeding with the way, how to maintain cloud
efficiency. If this is not followed, the downtime of business risks, improper handling of
information of data leaks. Various cloud networks provide the security tools which look for
warning users and then deal with various suspicious behaviors.

Issues faced
The implementation of cloud computing in the industry of health monitoring provides
countless benefits, besides this, there are various issues that are faced during the
implementation. This particular project had reflected on some major issues that are faced by the
health monitoring industry. These issues include lack of security as well as privacy; this is the
major concern of the health monitoring industry that is faced while choosing a particular cloud
solution. For overcoming these issues the industry of health monitoring is suggested to choose a
particular reliable cloud provider that would act in a complete accordance with the provisions
that are set forth in the health insurance probability and accountability act. Along with various
massive data breaches, that had been reported increasingly, the uneasiness among various
patients has increased a lot.
The users fear that the hospitals as well as doctors that utilize a particular cloud service
provider would complicate privacy and security of their data. They also have various concerns
regarding the multiple users that share EHRs among the facilities. Along with the privacy of
patients, data breaches end up costing around millions every year to the health monitoring
organizations. Once the data related to patients or health monitoring organizations is leaked or
stolen, the organization has to pay a huge amount of money in order to retrieve it. The average
cost that had been invested for the purpose of retrieving data is $350 in the year of 2017. These
invested costs could be devastating for the business of health monitoring.
Lessons learned
The project had provided various lessons that are supposed to be recorded for future use.
The usage of cloud computing technology in the field of health monitoring provides numerous
benefits to the industry; these benefits are enjoyed by the professionals as well as patients. The

lessons that have been learnt from the project includes various advantages, it has been found
from the studies carried out in the report that the cloud computing has become a necessity in the
field of health monitoring. It has helped a lot in the field of helping to transform the health
monitoring for sharing the data of patients between the providers of medical providers on
various urgent cases in actual time. Before the entire transformation takes place, a strategy has
to be planned that would define the way the implementation would be carried out and the
activities that would be involved in the implementation. An example of this includes the fact
that a particular feasible cloud strategy for the purpose of a health monitoring facility can use a
public cloud infrastructure in order to allow the public access of people to the generic health
monitoring information; it could also be used for the purpose of retrieving various medical
resources.
Hospitals as well as various health clinics might utilize a public cloud for the remote
storage of their medical data. A public cloud usually contributes in offering the industry with a
service agility as well as cost savings. On contrary, a particular private cloud might be
implemented in order to connect the health monitoring providers for transferring the electronic
documents in secured documents. These data could be shared to other professionals and the data
could be related to the professionals as well as patients. The information includes various
clinical applications such as EHRs, pharmacy orders, physician enquiry and many more. Some
more data include non-clinical and health monitoring management applications that are provided
for the purpose of handling the revenue cycle management, patient management like patient
billing as well as claims is also recorded.
Besides the advantages there are various challenges that could be faced by the institute
during the implementation of IoT. One of the challenges that could be provided in this project
