Introduction
The importance of working in a group can never be undermined. Teamwork refers to
the activity that is an activity with the help of which two or more individuals collaborate in
order to attain a collective goal. Hence, it can be said that it is important to cater to the needs
associated to the operations of a team. I aim to develop this paper in order to describe the
issues that I have encountered while being part of the group project that that is related to
strategic planning of Ironman bikes company simulation. The following sections will discuss
the encounters that myself and my group members had while being part of the group project.
In this paper, I will discuss the events and experiences that I have had while the project was
been carried out. Furthermore, I will analyse the issues and experiences while the project
simulation was being carried out.
Discussion
Task Background
The simulation takes place for a company that knowns as Ironman. Ironman is a
Motorbike company, that is aligned to the needs associated with the needs of the customers
associated to the needs of the want satiating needs of the consumer community. The scenario
that is being carried out is considered for the year of 2027. Strategic planning is an issue that
has been carried out for the successful implementation of the plan that was being carried out
(Wolf and Floyd 2017). I have been able to contribute to the effectiveness of the group task
and have thus, been able to gain favourable outcomes in terms of securing favourable results
when it comes satiation of the needs and operations of the company. I have been able to
realize the importance of being involved in a group setting. Furthermore, I have been able to
develop an understanding regarding implementation of businesses in the real world. The main
motive behind the project was to simulate and present a feasibility study on Ironman, a

motorbike company. The main components of the project were to carry out the product
marketing for the different variants of products offered by Ironman. Furthermore, there were
components such as production planner, capacity planner, Branding, Distribution, Financial
Management, forecast and others. Thus, I believe that I had an experience that was close to
working in a real-life organization. The following is a reflective section stating the
proceedings that were carried out during the time of implementing the group project.
Description of events or experiences
All the members of the group were excited as a result of the opportunity that they had
in accordance with the simulation of a business plan that they were provided to us. I was
personally very interested as a result of the opportunity that I had to simulate a business idea
with the help of a multiplayer game. The excitement due to the opportunity soon changed to a
situation of in which everyone started panicking as they had not worked on simulation
programs before. Although we were panicking, we did not lose track of the situation and the
task that we were faced with. The business plan and the idea were implemented with the help
of individual business ideas and reports that all the group members provided. The individual
reports that we provided helped to increase the viability of the issues that would be presented
in the plan. Moreover, it can it helped us in brainstorming ideas regarding the components to
be actually included in the report. Thus, the activities and the aspects to be communicated in
the report were developed using individual reports and brainstorming session that were
organized.
The tasks that we were given to us, needed us to digitally incorporate the same into
the multiplayer simulation game. Hence, all of the group members needed to have skills and
competencies that helped in compiling the components of the report into the online
multiplayer game. I personally used YouTube as medium to learn the operation related to the
multiplayer game. All the group members applied different types of methodologies to learn

the trick of the trade related to the gaining favourable nature of outcomes when it comes to
effective use of the multiplayer game. With the help of the learning tools that we applied in
accordance to the needs associated to the simulation game, we were able to learn the correct
methodologies to apply the learnings into the simulation game as whole. Thus, we were able
to effectively bring the simulation game to a successful closure. While carrying out the whole
process, I admit that I had various difficulties. However, it is safe to say that the simulation
helped me in gaining knowledge regarding how to handle similar situations in the future.
Evaluation
Now that I have been successful in completing the group project, I can say that I have
sound knowledge that about concepts I had little to no ideas before. Also, I am sure that I
would be able to smoothly operate such projects in the future. I am aware of fact that
prototyping is a major function that is implemented by businesses these days (Duc, Wang and
Abrahamsson 2017). Hence, the use of such software is crucial for individual operating in
managerial levels. Prototyping would help people in managerial roles simulate responses and
forecast regarding the success or failure of campaigns that help in minimizing cost and trying
to accurately predict the nature of proceedings regarding a certain product or service. I was
able to understand that is the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills is
crucial when it come to the formulation of solution to every problematic scenario that
individuals are faced by at times. Now, I have some experience under my belt that will allow
me to study developmental needs of organizations while they launch a campaign or develop a
business model. The application of critical thinking helps in problem solving which in turn
helps in saving time mitigating hindrances from the operations. On a concluding note, I can
state that the situation has acted like a learning curve that from which I have learnt a lot and
something that I would be able to cherish in the future.

Usefulness of the information
Now, when I look back into the time that we were solving the project, I realize that
the project has played a crucial role in terms of development of knowledge that I would be
able to utilize in the future. I am hopeful enough that I would be involved in a managerial
role in the future. Thus, I am sure that I would be able to use my newly developed
competency. Such issues would help in gaining favourable nature of outcomes in the future.
This would help me in understanding the importance of the scenario in the future and I would
be finally able to treat similar situations more easily in the future. I wonder that I had I
carried out some other methods to treat the issues in the future, how would have the end
result turned out to be. I wonder what would be the implication if I had not tried to develop a
contingency plan to the scenario. Now, with the level of understanding I might not be able to
perform at my absolute best. The best way would be to hone the skills that would help me in
treating situations easily and effectively. I would try my best to implement the learnings into
real life situations.
