and I would like to join your esteemed organization as a community health care professional. I
am pursuing my master of nursing from University of Wollongong. However, I am very much

I have a career goal of community service providence and as a registered nurse I have been

Selection Criteria
Reliable, proactive and confident in working with aged care clients and skills to work
competently in healthcare
I have experience in the aged patient care when working in the hospital and home care facilities.
I have shown extra support care to them as most of them have chronic diseases. They need extra
attention, skin care, cardiac care and other aspects of care along with positive conversation and
affectionate behaviour. I handled several aged person with chronic disease and gathered
knowledge how to deal with their problems as well. For example I have worked as a home care
personnel for 72 year old cancer patient Hari Maya Shrestha and I was responsible for the
personal care of that person. She was affected by back pain and as personal care personnel I
needed to release her from the pain. Thus I massaged her back and talked with her in positive
way so that she feels better. This way I understood her problem and helped her in a way that she
can feel better. The communication skills of mine helped me in this sector. Thus my confident
level about serving elderly people would not be any concern as I have plenty experience in their
care and prioritised the health condition of them along with the positive communication as well.
The holistic aspect of care also been used in my professional sector. In the IRT community
health program I would use my confidence and experience along with the communication skill to
develop a positive relation with the community people and help them in their proper health care.
Demonstrated ability to follow and implement a designated plan to achieve a desired

My time management skills are strong as I meet deadlines for every works I was assigned and I
also worked as part time worker and overtime when needed. I managed time and work as part
timer in a food court of Westfield and also study for my course. In terms of time management

managed my studies while working in the part time job. I also meet my deadlines in the fields of
quality projects despite of working as a part time worker in the Westfield. Thus in terms of time
management skills I developed a positive experience and can help in the community health care
program of IRT. I also can work in a team with proper collaboration and it will help in the team
work and community health providence to the community people. Other than time management
the patient centered care also needed in terms of the community health care management and my
dedication towards the patient needs and prioritizing the health of the patient is also a key factor
that would play a key role in the community health care providence.
Proven ability to work collaboratively to achieve goals within a diverse team environment
I was able to understand and identify different problems of the patients and
also the social determinants of the diseases of the patients. The cultural,
educational and age are the variables of the social context that affects the
physical and mental health and I was able to listen and understand the
conditions of the patients. Thus found solutions for them by means of
different processes. I was also able to support and help them on the basis of
their needs. In the period of my bachelor degree I was posted as a
community nurse and I was the leader of that team. I was able to help the
patients of the community and also helped my team mates in terms of time
management and the care policies for the community people. This way I
developed the leadership skills and also the nursing skills along with the
communication and listening skills that needed in the nursing practice. This
particular factor is needed to be used in the proper care for the community
health providence and my listening skills; communication skills and the

professional relationship build up skills would play a key role in the
community health care. On the other hand my patient centered nature
without discriminating the patients on the basis of the gender; race and
religion would be helpful in the process of the community health care. If I
would be able to serve as a community health nurse I will help the
community with all my professional and interpersonal skills and experiences
in order to provide the community with proper care.
