The aim of the assignment is to develop a report that will be divided into two arts.
IS/IT strategy includes planning of a document that will help in explaining the working of
information technology and information systems. This are designed with the aim of providing
support to the organization. IT service strategy documents provides a reliable, keep pace and
secure with the use of advance technology and also enables high quality client support
services. Part A will describe about the problem, research questions and objectives associated
with the implementation of IS/IT strategy within the organization BMI. The need of IS/IT
interventions within the organization BMI will be discussed. BMI research is a firm that
works with providing macroeconomic, financial market analysis and industry analysis. This
firm covers about 24 industries and 200 global markets. The report will discuss about the
strategic concept and decision making models related to IS/IT strategy associated with the
organization. Apart from these the report will discuss about the challenges faced by the
organization while implementing this strategies. Based on the developed report, a poster will
be created. This poster will help in describing the features, conclusions and methods
associated with the research. Part b includes discussing about the questions based on the case
study related to strategic implementation of IT/IS projects in construction. The case study
describes the need for improved implementation of information system and information
technology in the case study a large multinational construction organization that is used to
construct telecommunication networks for mobile phone in South East of Queensland,
Australia. The case study has described a strategic implementation framework for
constructing IS/IT projects. The part b section is divided in two tasks, this includes
discussing about the strategies adopted by the case study and analysing the case study
properly to understand the outcomes. Task 2 includes reflection on the report and the
strategies implemented.
