The individual factor helps in knowing that there are certain problems which Elizabeth if
facing at her own level. She is suffering from the mental health disease and is analysed with
postnatal depression. Due to this depression, she is facing many problems and there are aspects
as to how effectively and in appropriate manner there are changes which are being addressed to
help Elizabeth recover from her mental illness. Additional information should have been
collected for the aspects as to how effectively Elizabeth treatment can be treated. The missing

necessary for the nurse to consider. The information which should be collected will be helping
the case of Elizabeth and by providing the missing information the fault of Elizabeth or nurse can
be analysed. Also, the case study should mention the current situation of the Elizabeth and the
test which was done that made the nurse give paracetamol to Elizabeth. The information which
was not communicated was that why the medicines was asked by Elizabeth. As there should be
information regarding whether the patient was having anhedonic behaviours or any other

interpersonal therapy (Cuijpers, Stringaris, & Wolpert, 2020). Also, there are various medicines
which help to reduce the effect of depression and help the patient to calm down when they are
aggressive.

and various others. These are the treatment which were necessary for the patients which were not
taken by the staff member of the hospital. These treatments will help the patient to reduce the
problem faced by them. If the proper treatment was undertaken by the nurse of the hospital the
death of the Elizabeth can be eliminated. It is because paracetamol is not good for the patient
who are suffering from depression. This increase the anxiety in the patient which makes them do
various things which is harmful for their life (Piotrowska, & et.al, 2019). The proper treatment

was given on time it might not have escalated the thoughts of the patients which lead them to
attempt suicide in the hospital (Huang, & et.al, 2020).
One of the event which is related to health care system is that the not conducting proper
search of the belongings of the patient. As mentioned in the scenario that kindle was removed
from the belongings of the patients when the admission process was going on (Wyder, & et.al,
2018). The same kindle was provided to the patient when asked by them without properly
checking it. This is the problem which is related to the staffing of the nurse in the system as well
as breach of the policy of the health care system. As it is mentioned that the belongings of the
mental health patient should be checked in proper manner to ensure that no accident will take
place in the premises of the hospital. The information was shared properly as the nurse took
permission of the head nurse who gave permission to provide kindle to the Elizabeth (Skär, &
Söderberg, 2018). The information should also be provided to the head to the hospital so that he
should have properly checked the belonging. If this was done by the nurses of the hospital the
death of Elizabeth might have been avoided as she would not have got the razor which she hid in
that kindle.
The actions of the staff of the hospital is not proper. It is because it was their
responsibility to check whether there is any sort of harmful object hidden in anything which will
cause the patient to commit suicide. This is included in the care of the mental health patient as
they are the one who want attention to eliminate any threat which comes to their life. The
hospital was also at fault in their actions as they were not conveying the rules in appropriate
manner which made the nurses of the hospital provide the patients with the thing which was
removed during the process of admission. It is not good for the care of those patients as they are
not in their right mind state to make some decisions (Hoagwood, & et.al, 2020). If the nurse of
the hospital had been following the rules and regulations mentioned, then the death of the
Elizabeth can be eliminated.
Another action which was not accordance to the health system was the patient was not
under proper observation when they have committed suicide various times (Ortega-Campos, &
et.al, 2019). If the nurses of the hospitals were taking appropriate care of Elizabeth she would not
have any chance to use her razor to commit suicide in the hospital room. As she was a person
who was depressed because of the events which took place in her life. The nurses of the hospital

had their duties to take proper care of the patients which they were not able to do. It is because of
the changes in the shift time which they gave more importance rather than the patient.
