This research proposal investigates the effectiveness of the Islamic mortgage system as a solution to credit crises, using the UAE as a case study. The study aims to understand the Islamic mortgage system, assess its ability to address global crises, and analyze the UAE's experience during the credit crunch. The research will employ a qualitative approach, utilizing an inductive research approach and interpretivism philosophy. Data will be collected through a combination of primary and secondary sources, including a survey of 30 institutions. Thematic analysis will be used to analyze the data, supported by graphs and charts to enhance understanding. The study will also address ethical considerations, including obtaining informed consent from participants. The research seeks to contribute to the understanding of Islamic finance and its role in promoting financial stability.
