The objective of this research id to examine and analyse the thinking and works contributed
by Jim Sire in his book naming “The Universe Next Door: A Basic Worldview Catalogue. (5th
ed.)”. This book examines the eight questions related to the theory of worldview about the
Christianity. It uses the nine most powerful and famous world views in this book. This review is
based on the 10th chapter of the book, which is based on the Islamic worldview about the Christianity.
This paper will represent the cases and discussion given by author are relevant to the real views of
Islam or not and will support arguments whether supporting or not about the author’s presentation
(Sire, 2009).

In this chapter, Jim Sire represents the basic concepts of the Islamic religion and how it is
making the efforts, views and adapts the prevailing thoughts of Christianity. Author deeply
analyse the origin of Islam and represent that it is deeply related to time before Prophet as
well. He applies the Sire’s Worldview question and found that Islam answers the god is one
and no one except Allah has to be worshiped by the people.
He described that world is controlled by the almighty to keep the human on the highest place
in all creatures, it prevails that Christianity is related to the Islam. As Jesus is considered to
be one of the important prophet of the Islam, who take born from the womb of the “Mariam”
known as Mariah in Christianity.
Islam opposes the Christianity, as they support the comments Jesus to be son of God and
consider death of Jesus by hanging on the Cross. Islam supports that Jesus formerly Known

as Isa in the Islam was born of virgin and he was not hanged on the cross, meaning that Isa is
still alive and will come into the world again as discussed in the Quran.
Islamic beliefs are related to one God that is Allah only and they believe that they will be
returned one day on the day of judgement to the almighty and their good and bad practices
will decide what they will get in the end.
This chapter represent the Islamic theism that is related to the original concepts as in
described in the Islamic history, it oppose the Christianity, Jewish and worship of idol since
its establishment.
Conclusion
Author has represented many worldviews about the Christianity and its practices. In addition,
how other religion sees the Christianity. This chapter represents the views of the Islam over
the Christianity which author told that Islam is opposite to Christianity. Because according to
the faith of Islam Isa (Jesus) was not hanged and he was one of the prophet among the
Muslims, he also conveyed the message to people that God is one and no other should be
worshipped. Author has represented the Islamic theism properly as it originally support to
one God, consider the Isa as alive, and come again on the earth that is opposite to the
Christian beliefs.
