CASE MANAGEMENT 1
While providing multiple services to clients as a social worker, there are multiple issues that
can arise for clients, their families and carers. These issues are necessary to be analysed to
make sure that clients are able to access multiple services in an effective manner. One of the
key issues that arise is lack of coordination between the social workers and the client or their
family members. Without coordination, it becomes difficult for carers to deliver multiple
services to the clients that have complex needs (Lynch, et al., 2019). Effective
communication cannot be established between the social workers and the clients or their
family members, in case, there role and responsibilities are not defined or there is confusion
between expected outcomes.
Behavioural aspect is another key issue which carers face while dealing with clients with
complex needs since families are always involved in the process of the clients care. The client
or family members may have behaviour which challenges the social workers that makes it
difficult for them to discharge their duties effectively (Brown, et al., 2019). Another key
challenge is lack of proper monitoring of the clients data and collection of feedback without
which social workers finds it challenging to achieve expected outcomes. Many times the
client or their family members are not able to share a correct feedback that makes it difficult
for social workers to deliver them multiple services while maintaining coordination between
them (Westlake & Jones, 2018). In conclusion, these issues should be analysed by social
workers when they are dealing with clients, families or carers while providing them multiple
services.
