Career Enhancement: Designed materials and reflection
Introduction
This paper is dedicated to including reflection on career enhancement with the help of
designed materials in the context of Bachelor of Science studies. In doing so, I will talk about
how my professional profile can be useful for my career enhancement and career learning
within digital platforms. Thus, the discussion will include career aspirations as well as career
goals so that I can excel in cyber-security and cyber forensics.
Career Enhancement
I would like to mention that I have created a professional profile to be used in digital
platforms. By creating the short video of my professional pitch, I could learn about career
aspirations as well as my own career goals. I found that by using my professional digital
profile, I will be able to promote my employability to future employers. This will also
promote professional development while studying the Bachelor of Science in cyber-security
and forensics (Early Years Careers 2020).
In this context, post studying the course I will need to work with the best organization
so as to nurture career and skills. At that time, I found the need for a professional digital
profile and pitch for further promoting my employability to the upcoming employers. It is
worth mentioning that this assessment and activity made me realize the importance of
creating a professional image (Jennifer 2020). In this context, studying into this module will
allow me to form a professional image so that I can convey my real professional image to
others. According to me, a professional image is an image that is projected by an individual
in relation to themselves on the basis of reputation, technical knowledge, and appearance
(Hertzman, Moreo and Wiener 2015). I believe that a professional image can be better
conveyed with the help of a digital platform. Hence, I have created one and professional pitch
as well. In addition to that, a professional image can easily be conveyed as professional by
the way one speaks, prepares resume, dress, speak and the way they respond to others
(Starmer, Frintner and Freed 2016).
From the values aspect, my personal and professional values are appreciable for
career development and growth. I also consider that there is an expected standard in my field
and hence I will grab my technical and non-technical skills in order to become an expert in

my field. Moreover, I want others to understand some key values of mine so that I can work
efficiently as well as effectively with future employers. To do so, I will make my expertise
my specialty so that I can create my value for future employers. Thus, based on (Jennifer
2020), I will become an expert in the required skills for the job.
In addition to that, I will always keep my knowledge up to date as well as current for
further achieving personal and professional goals effectively. To me, one must always be
performing to the utmost absolute best of their abilities (Entrepreneur India 2015). There are
some things I would prefer not to do; so that I can demonstrate the best corporate values,
ethics as well as business practices. Based on (Moon 2013), I would never neglect customer
queries, problems, and issues. It is because customer satisfaction is the prior thing in any
business as understanding the client's needs will be the key to successful business and
development. I will also get the extra mile for making my future employer, colleagues, staff
and clients happy which ultimately adds to my career enhancement and goals achievement
(Hertzman, Moreo and Wiener 2015).
Moreover, I would like to mention some key elements of the professional network
which I already have presently. Based on (Early Years Careers 2020), I am an effective
communicator as I am able to be responsive, concise and clear which is critically important
for future career success. I also have great presentation skills including a verbal and non-
verbal presentation which will help me to make an extraordinary impression in front of future
employers (Boud, Keogh and Walker 2013).
I believe that the elements of a professional network which are beneficial for me to
develop are technical knowledge, basic skills, and good communication skills. Apart from
this, elements like presentation skills, reputation in the professional market, appropriate
professional appearance, appropriate personal behaviour, use of correct etiquette and manners
and most importantly effective communications are highly important for career enhancement
(Andresen, et al. 2019).
Conclusion
In whole, this reflection has successfully made me realize the importance of career
aspirations and goal setting with preparing a professional profile on digital platforms. Thus, I
will use these lessons in the future career growth and further development. Moreover, this

activity has helped me to get clarity regarding my career aspiration as well as long-term
career goals effectively.
