to the manufacturing of integrated circuits. It is seen in the case study that an ethical aspect is
related to the detection of fault in the circuits which were going to delivered to the client.
Introduction
ICvendor Pty Ltd is a company which is owned by Miss McTester. The main working
of the organization is related to the development of integrated circuits and endorsing them
prior to the release to the purchasers. Miss Mctester has the responsibility of testing the
functionality which is related to the integrated circuits and within the organization he takes all
the necessary moves which would be protecting it.
Ethical dilemma confronted by the stakeholders
The ICvendor Pty Ltd majorly invested A $10 million on the development of the
integrated circuit for the mobile phone manufacturing company which is known as
BestPhones Pty Ltd. Just before the handling of the integrated circuits it was seen that all the
circuits were faulty. On the other hand though the circuits were faulty it could perform the
basic functions.
Ethical response
The main ethical response which can be related is that Miss Mctester does not train
himself for a higher position and on the other hand he does not provide any type of training to
the people so that they could reach a higher level of working. This can be considered as one
of the ethical aspects which are confronted in this case study which is stated. If he would be
providing training to the junior people it would have been directly helping the organization to
reach to a higher level of working (Leicester, 2016). He does not want the other to reach a
level were his own expertise concept would not be occupied by some other person.

ACS code of professional conduct
The ACS code of professional conduct which can be applied to the case study are stated
below:
Honesty: “You will be honest in your representation of skills, knowledge, services
and products.”
Professional development: “You will enhance your own professional development,
and that of your colleagues and staff.”
Enhancement of quality of life: “You will strive to enhance the quality of life of those
affected by your work.”
Primacy of the interest of the public: “You will place the interests of the public above
those of personal, business or sectional interests.”
Professional development: “You will enhance your own professional development,
and that of your colleagues and staff.”
Professionalism: “You will enhance the integrity of the ACS and the respect of its
members for each other.” (Warren & Burmeister, 2017).
Failure to apply ethical decision making
The main aspect which can be discussed relating to the failure of the ethical aspect
can be dictated in a manner which states that the circuits should have been tested in a proper
manner. The delivery of the faulty circuits which on the other hand performed its usual
function can be considered as an ethical aspect which could create a problem in the near
future. It should be rectified before the dispatch of the order is done to the client . If it is not
done it can be stated as an ethical aspect relating to the functionality of the organization. In
the near future the ethical aspect could possess a great threat to the organization (Pereira,
Ferreira & Amaral, 2017).

Theories
In the aspect of the ACS code of professional conduct the theories which can be applied are
stated below:
Virtuousness: The right type of action is done by a person who is virtuous.
Consequentialism: the right type of action is taken by the right consequences.
Deontologism: The right action is taken with the consideration of the right types of
rules (Warren & Lucas, 2016).
Conclusion
The report can be concluded on a note that relating to the case study there are many
ethical aspects which can be stated in the scenario. It is not a justifying statement to deliver
the integrated circuits which involved some of the faulty aspect though it conducted the
normal functionality which required by the circuit. The main aspect which should have been
taken into consideration is that it should have been changed and the ethical aspect could have
been removed from the functionality. In most of the cases it is seen that organization fail to
implement the ethical aspect due to the factor of delivery time of the product which had to be
matched. In the report the ACS code of professional conduct are majorly discussed taking
into aspect the case scenario.
