Evaluation of ethical dilemma involved
In the organisation, many ethical conditions are handled by the ICT professional. Classifications
of issues are such as participatory, accessibility, computer and lifelong education.
Computer crimes and unethical hacking- The major ethical issue is computer crimes and
unethical hacking of the system because of that organisation and Ken face the problem. Due to
increment in computer crime, the essential data of the company is leaked in the market. The data,
facts and other private information of the firm related to the contractual agreement is release in
the market due to unethical hacking. Due to computer crimes and unethical computer hacking
company suffer huge losses. In that case, major responsibility of the system security in the hand
of ICT professional Ken. So the firm management directly questions from Ken related to the
ethical condition.

deadline and provide quality company system security. So the Ken is also responsible for
answering the client for the incompletion of project in given time frame. The ICT professional
Ken should also answerable for project information leak to the client. Due to the ethical issue,
client reliability is decreasing toward the organisation. The irresponsible behaviour toward the
work affects the working (Joy, et al. 2016). The participatory is a doubt on the company
authentic sources and management process. Another ethical issue is Ken take the extra time from
the client on his responsibility and left the organisation after some time this is the unethical
behaviour. This is affecting the working of the informational technology (IT) department also the
image of the business firm. Time is taken for completing the project and find out the reason for
the unethical hacking. The IT unit of the organisation should search for the candidate who leaks
the data.

and resolves the issues. In the case of Ken project, the major default spotted is regarding multiple

ACS ethics
Australian computer society code ethics are followed by the entity to develop professionalism in
working tradition. By using the ACS ethics company resolve several problems of the
environments. These ethics are as follow-
Professionalism- The professionalism is for the personal development of the company in sense
of developing new technology and maintains the on-time working habits. ICT organisations
make sure about the project deadline and accurately deliver as per the contractual agreement. In
case of Ken the company is not professional toward the work because the deadline criteria is
affected and it impact reflects on the working. Professionalism is also related to company system
security and project information (Monshipouri, et al. 2017). The IT team also consider system
security though in the professionalism so Ken need to make sure that overall working is as per
ethics.
Competence- The competence power of the Australian computer society code ethics denote
about the enhancement of working in the organisation. ICT organisations should consider this
ethic as a key part of working. Competence is majorly affecting the firm for the appropriate
working tradition. Competence is the tool for the ICT professional candidate to convince the
client and customer for the long term support. The competence level should be in the increasing
form.
Honesty- The honest is the key term of ACS code ethics that essential in the organisation. The
low level of the honest in the firm increases the various issue and majorly create the differences
between the employees. Honesty ethics is also vital for a healthy relationship with customers. In
the absence of honesty in the employee's relation effect and any condition workers blame each
other. In the case of low-level honesty company, suffer from issue regarding investments and
shareholder reliability.
Professional Development (PD) - The PD and professionalism are the complements to each
other. In the ACS code ethics, PD is essential for the entity. The PD also support the company
not only in the expansion but also increase the reliability of several clients. Once the company
PD started the interest area of the public and investor automatically increases. PD refers to high-
level services providers.

Actions are taken by the ICT professional on ethical dilemma
In the case of Ken’s project, he also tried to implement ACS code ethics to resolve the unethical
issues. Ken also tried all possible methods to convince the client.
By applying honesty, Ken accepts in front of the client that defaults by the company side. The
firm also tries to resolve the issue as soon as possible (Capurro, 2018). At the same time, Ken
also working with honesty and try to handle the situation by taking some extra time with the
client. With full honesty, Ken assures the participant that the IT team and he complete the
project. Ken efforts for the particular project are always honest toward the organisation. Ken, as
an ICT professional, implements the entire possible manner to settle the matter and resolve
ethical issues.
ICT professional Ken also takes some professional decision to fix an ethical issue. By following
the ACS code ethics professionalism, Ken also said sorry for the delay in project submission.
Ken also tries to disclose all the facts and reason for the delay in the project. Ken behaviour is
irresponsible when he is unable to tell the reason for information and data leak in the newspaper
(Floridi, and Taddeo, 2016). At this point, Ken is not so professional toward the work because he
asked for extra time to complete the task but he left the job without meeting the contract
requirements. On the other side, Ken tries to take some extra time to complete the project.
As an ICT professional, Ken work competence level is low, but the effort applied by Ken is a
hundred per cent. Through the support of the PD skills and knowledge, Ken should try to fix the
matter (Brooks, et al. 2017). The company should also find out the error and default behind the
computer crime and unethical hacking. Overall, Ken applies all the possible ACS ethics, but the
result is unfavourable.
It is also found that Ken should also take the suggestion with the co-worker and try to be
punctual toward the work. Ken should also try to analysis the default of their management and
need of the internal system for the improvement.
Recommendation
The main issue in the whole case is Ken left the job after the month. This kind of behaviour
toward the work is not so professional. When Ken takes the time for completing the project, he
should fulfil the promise with the client. Instead of left the Ken should focus on these points-
Time management- The ICT professional Ken should manage the time for the project and deliver
it on time, so the client is reliable toward the firm for future activities. Ken should understand

the priority of the work and completing the project before the deadline. Ken another default is
after taking the extra time he is unable to complete the project again. So it is essential for Ken to
learn the time management process. By having improvement in time management the overall
business practice and standards can be improved.
Maintain professionalism- The Ken is also responsible for the system security in that he is unable
to reflect the professionalism in front of organisation and participant. Ken is unable to maintain
the professional behaviour and left the job that negative impact face by the company in the way
of losing several clients. By having an improvement in the professionalism, project can be
completed in desired time frame as per the contract.
Being more honest toward work- In this case, it found that honesty toward the work is a little bit
low at a particular point. This was reflecting when Ken left the job. When Ken working with the
firm, he is loyal and dedicated toward the work. Ken should be honest with the work and
organisation. Ken should be more responsible for the company data security. Overall, in this
case, in the end, the mistake is made by Ken side. In the beginning, the company was liable for
the mistakes. It is necessary to develop a practice that honest and reliable information is being
shared or communicated to the clients.
Increase the responsible behaviour- In this case, it founded that Ken behaviour is irresponsible
with client and organisation. In the starting, Ken is irresponsible for work of the entity and
unable to submit the project before the deadline. Consider the last stage, Ken nature is
irresponsible clients, and without any notice, Ken left the job. It means the Ken needs to perform
activities that can enhance his responsible behaviour.
