Business Intelligence Analysis
Business intelligence analysis is an important role in IT department and professionals
can earn from $70,000 to $90,000 annually in this field. The work of a business intelligence
analyst is to gather data by mining a firm’s computer data through software, comparing the
same with that of competitors’ thus helping the company to find its position in the market.
Business intelligence is supported by technology so the professionals desiring to work as
business analysts should be good in computer programming and must have a sound
knowledge in database as well (Brijs 2016). The Business intelligence analysis has a major
role to play in TreasureChest as in the new strategies of the company; an analyst can help in
converting related data into equivalent critical information as well as knowledge that will
ensure the firm takes proper decisions. The business intelligence analysts have to look after
the output of a firm and make comparisons of the progress of the company with that of its
contemporaries in the market (Arnott, Lizama and Song 2017). The business intelligence
analysts have to work with the clients and the members of the IT teams so that they can turn
essential data into information.
Replaced resources from the hierarchical organization
Two resources that can be replaced in the organizational chart are sales and marketing
head and product manager for supply chain. Sales and marketing department can be
computerized and digitalization can definitely be used in place of human resources (Siau and
Yang 2017). The company can opt for automation in supply chain management because
technology is rapidly replacing human resources in this context and is successful (Liukkonen
2015). Advanced analytics, robotics, learning loop and many such things can replace humans
in this case. This will help the company in moving towards digitalization and being at par
with its competitors.

Recommendations and Conclusion
Replacing the humans with computerized systems will help TreasureChest in cutting
costs and checking that the work is being done properly. In their strategic number 2 that is
enhancing product for large number of customers, these measures can help. By replacing the
human resources with computerized systems will help in providing customer services 24*7
thus meeting their demands and thus contributing to the growth of the company. By bringing
in automation in the supply chain, the company can lace itself with digitalization.
The company aligns itself to the IT governance policies it can be understood from the
fact that it is mandatory to make the contractors permanent or full time employees if they
work in the company for more than a year. They must be given certain roles in the company
that full time employees are given. The replacement of the human resources with the
advanced technologies should be in accordance with the IT governance policies. The
employees should be given proper training to handle the transformation.
The organization should consider innovation as a core attribute in the business
philosophy and the company can take a lead by adopting certain technology that has not been
used by others to get a position in the market. For example, it can consider the example of
Ford Motors that pioneered in “line assembly” mechanism and set an example for other in the
field. The company can implement technology for bringing in collaboration by establishing
an effective IT infrastructure that supports flow of information. This will help the firm in
smooth flow of information thus establishing better level of engagement within the
organizational premises as well as outside them as well. Thus it can be said that in order to
grow in their business, the business requires adopting technology.
