Question 1: Functions and the operations of Data Centers
Improved data quality helps the business in taking the knowledgeable and quicker decisions. The
functions of Data centers are:
Lower cost of mailing: Data centers decreases the cost of mails undelivered. For
example: the companies that are working with the portal service of U.S. for keeping their
customers informed are receiving discounted rates of postages for the shipping and direct
mail.
Building Location and the Infrastructure: Data centers provide security in terms of
relative location and the physical infrastructure. For example, Data centers are fixed some
distance away from the office headquarters’ and help in providing security (COLO
HOUSE, 2018).
Redundancy: This function of Data Centers provides an extra security in organizations
by providing an additional layer of personnel, storage and equipment in the occasion of
source’s failure. For example, batteries, ventilation, generators, telephone lines, power
and air conditioning are the facilities regularly used in the organizations. Redundancy in
the equipment ensures that even in the times of disruption these facilities will continue to
operate (Experian, 2018).
Question 2: Why is the Data quality important?
Data Centers is a function that centralizes IT operations of an organizations and the equipment
where it manages, disseminates and stores its data. Data centers are crucial for the running of
day-to-day operations in the organization. Their security is the top priority of the organizations.
The importance of the Data centers are:
The Data centers automatically backup the data on a regular basis.
Data center defines and apply policies for the external and internal monitoring
environment. For example, payment card and Sarbanes-Oxley
The major functions of the data centers are the change management, device
configuration, application installation and printer management
It helps in the discovery of the network that is running on the organization network
(Polalto networks, 2018).
Question 3: Problems associated with Cloud Computing:
The cloud computing is harmful for the organization. There are many problems associated with
the cloud computing:
Cloud computing leads to the unauthorized access of the business data to the customers.
The people who use the cloud service are not only the hackers but also the employees
within the organization.

Cloud service increases the risk of Government intrusion in the organization.
The different types of risks like Vendor’s security risk, Legal and Compliance risk,
control risks and the availability risks are the risks related to the cloud services.
The basic problem related with the cloud services are the absence of proper standards and
the monitoring issues in the system (Lifewire, 2018).
