INTRODUCTION
Project management is defined as application that consist of methods, processes,
knowledge, skills as well as experience that is used in order to attain aims and objectives of
project. There are final deliverables which have specific timescale. Managing of project includes
various processes like initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, etc. There is proper budget
assigned for completing the project activities and tasks. The following report is based upon case
study of “The Euro Centre” which has to be constructed in Docklands area of London. The
Hughes Communications Ltd. (HCL) is involved in installing, testing and commissioning IT and
communication infrastructure for “The New Euro Centre”. There are two tasks in the following
report which provides detailed information about the project of installing IT facilities in meeting
rooms and in a conference centre.
TASK 1
Provide explanation of key characteristics of project
Project management is an important task that is used for evaluating, initiating and
examining the project activities and tasks (Alnaggar, and Pitt, 2019). Some of the attributes
which are present within the project management are described below -
This is created for managing the project work effectively and manage ease of project
activities. It is important to control project activities and tasks for framing the project
activities.
The project work is temporary work and it consists of starting as well as managing the
predefined goals for conducting the project.
There are various set of demands and needs that have to be delivered within specific
boundaries which are involved in completing the project work.

manner.

Stakeholder analysis
Stakeholders play an important role within the management of projects. It is essential for
the project manager to work effectively and meet the targets of project in decided time frame.

is need of various changes within project for working effectively and conducting successful

Project scope statement – The present project of New Euro company is associated with
vision of project. Scope of the present project is that if new Euro company will have a
CCTV camera and new conference room, then it will be easy to enhance communication
among management and employees. Budget - It is related with the budget for all the financial and non financial activity
involved in project. It is very important for the project manager to focus upon budgets
and money for completing the project activities that can be completed in provided budget.
Quality management method - It is focusing upon the managing of quality of project.
This consists of project initiation, evaluation and monitoring. It is very important to
manage the project activities and ensure that these are completed in specified time frame.

which are used for managing and associating the project related activities from starting to
end of project. The project manager of New Euro conference room ensures that there is
proper networking so that goals are achieved in given time frame.

Overview of the project
In the present scenario, there is project which is based upon construction of new
infrastructure centre. This is named :The Euro Centre”. There is a proper plan needed for
managing all the project activities and tasks. A project manager has all responsibilities and roles
for managing the completion of all project activities in specified time frame. There is need for
completing all the project tasks and activities in specified time so that there is no problem faced
by the project manager at the time of executing plan.
The present project is based upon construction of The Euro Centre and this project is
assigned to the Hughes communications limited (HCL). There is budget of 20000 pounds for

less time, etc (Prantl, 2020). In context of New Euro company, it is seen that all constraints of
project are effectively managed and they are completed within given time frame. It is very
important for the project manager to manage various problems like involvement of stakeholder
and ineffectiveness of project workers in order to manage risk within project. There are some
preventions for risk which are adopted by project manager (Rowe, 2020). For avoiding risk, it is
important that all activities and tasks are managed properly.
