Executive Summary
This report contains the study and analysis of the issues involved in the management of
Information Technology. Technology has become an integral part of today’s life and is
continuously updated from time to time. Technology helps in completing the work
effectively and within the specified period time. It is essential that an effective
information system is established for regulating and monitoring the operations and
functions of the organisation. This report is based on the critique of the technology and
systems. Every organisation or associations including businesses, university, etc have
adopted technology for controlling, executing and monitoring the activities involved in
such businesses or the universities or institutions. It is significant that in each body
mentioned above, it must have a professional having the skills and expertise in
information technology. Under this report, a scenario is provided whose study and
analysis will be done and the parts of scenario will be answered accordingly.

Introduction
This report provides an insight of the technology and its related system. It is well
established that technology is part of each and every activity, operations and the
functions of every association from being a successful business or an educational
institution, everything today depends upon the technology. Under this report, a scenario
is provided which states that there are various private institutions of the education
sector from all over the globe to form a model named World University. Such portal will
be online 24/7 and can be accessed on different parts of the world. This model offers
various courses which include the services of providing lectures online from all these
institutions. All the communication of the staff will be done on this online portal. This
model also provides the option to choose or selects the country from which the student
wants to be graduated. This model also provides rewards under the scheme of Study
Together Loyalty which is kind of loyalty scheme for the customers. These rewards will
only be provided to the students who bring in another student having the credit fee
which depends upon the type of selected course. Such university also has various
agents to promote this model or portal and to sell the services provided on this model to
the employers. Fees for the courses will be non-refundable and are to be paid PayPal
and credit card. Moreover, a laptop and E-book will also be provided to the students
signed for under this model. All the required software will be pre-installed and no laptop
must be purchased from outside. It also includes the recommendations for improving
the portal by adopting two business processes. Moreover, it comprises the role of Social
media in promoting the World University Model.

It assumed that:

recognition along with the retainment of the student.

1). A customer loyalty scheme called Study Together Loyalty will reward students
who introduce another student with fee credit depending on which course is
picked. The university also uses agents to sell its offerings to employers.
Applications are approved in less than 5 minutes. Payment for non-refundable
fees is by credit card or PayPal.
As per the given scenario, it has been noted that such scheme will have a positive
impact in getting the recognition in the educational sector. This model of World
University is developed from different universities from all over the globe which offers
rewards to the students for referring other students with fees credit. Such reward
scheme is known as Student Together Loyalty. It is essential for the growth and
development of the universities and educational institutions that more and more
students are admitted into the online courses with the reference of current students.
This is the main reason behind providing rewards for new admission of students to the
current students is the growth and enhancement of the World University Model and all
the universities involved in it.
It is essential for the development of the model that students are attracted to it, for these
universities have adopted various methods which are as follows:
 Universities provide rewards to the students for passing the tests, completing the
assignments, etc (Shields, et. al., 2015).
 Universities provide information to the students for an update in the curriculum of
the courses or appreciation mail in regards to doing well in the test or effective
completion of assignments. This helps in encouraging the student to maintain
their position which ultimately results in retaining students.
Such scheme has a positive critique on both, the universities and the students. As the
universities get more and more students which helps in its growth and the growth of the
model and students gets awarded with rewards and other benefits which helps in
retainment of current students. Moreover, such model offers the option of choosing the

2). E-book and laptop purchases are part of the course and will be available
online. Students cannot opt out of purchases. A pre-configured laptop loaded
with required software will be sent out to all students.
In this world of digitalisation, education and systems related to it have moved to the
digital means for providing the learning and writing in regards to the courses opted by
the students. In accordance with the scenario provided in the assignment, it is stated
that E-books and Laptop will be provided by the respective universities of the students
to which they have accessed the World University Model. Moreover, it is also provided
that laptops for accessing such model must not be purchased from outside as the
compatible software will be pre-installed in the laptops provided by the universities and
such model may not support in the laptops purchased for outside. Such laptop will
contain the E-Book which will be related to the syllabus and the curriculum of the
courses that the students have chosen which may vary on the basis of different learning
structures and the courses of different universities. Both, laptop and E-books are
beneficial for the students.
The benefits of the E-Book provided by the universities to the students are as follows:

students and it saves the time of the students of getting into lines for getting the
books (Sessoms, 2013).
 Facility of Text Reader: There are various E-Books which have the option of
Text-To-Speech which is beneficial for the students who have issues in reading
or have any disability by which students is unable to read. It also helps in
reducing the strain on student’s eye.

purposes and contributes to saving the ecosystem.
 Storage: E-Books are small in size which can be stored on the computer system
or the laptop. Different and hundreds of E-Books can be stored in a single folder
and eliminates the need for storing the books physically (Kumar, et, al., 2017).

from an extended and broadest public network and the model of Penguin solutions is
adopted. It is an organisation providing the services of application servers, hyper-scale
data centers, interconnection for high-performance computing and storage. Both, the
solution and the process are significant for improving the effectiveness of the University
Model.
Aardvark is an online search engine which is based on the interaction model. Under
this, the users and in this case, the students raise any query or have a question about
anything is asked on this search engine which will also be displayed to other users as
well (Horowitz and Kamvar, 2010). Such users can answer the question and the same
will be delivered to the user who asked for the solution of the query along with the name
of the user who provided the solution. This application also has the feature to referring
the query or the question to any other user who according to another user has the
knowledge to answer the question asked. The query is displayed to the relevant users
who may have answered on the similar topic if such user doesn’t know the answer such

Instagram, Twitter, etc. and also includes blogs, search engines, etc. This will allow the
students at different parts of the world who have signed for this university model and will
be able to get any information on the updates related to the lectures or the new services

both, the universities from all over the world and the student connected with these
universities through the World University Model will be able to communicate with each
other. This allows the students an option to share the issues or the grievances faced by

PayPal, etc. All these are beneficial for the universities as well as it provides recognition
to the universities and the courses provided by it and for its development. It is also
noted that social media helps in promoting this model. However, it is recommended that
such model must utilise less amount of data and it must also have an option to use the
model in offline mode i.e. without the availability of internet.
