All the professionals irrespective of their sector need to follow certain sets of rules
and responsibilities given by the organization. Being a future IT professional one must
understand all the opportunities of an organization which are related to social, ethical and
legal. IT professional plays a vital role in the organization. The professionals help in
maintaining all the privacy and related security issues (Cerit and Dinç 2013). The main point
of the issue is to discuss the stages a professional undergoes while working in the field of
information technology. While performing the duties, the professionals face a certain
problem, which is social, economic and legal issues. The essay highlights all the issues faced
by the IT professionals and the related solution for the issues.
In every stage of life, everyone faces certain issues which need to be resolved in a
better way. When a professional belonging to the information technology field starts there
job, they are bound to face certain social issues. The issues which they face need to be
resolved professionally. The very first issue which is faced by IT professionals is related to
green technology. The resources of the earth, both renewable and non-renewable at a rapid
rate, are reaching the level of scarcity. The reason behind the scarcity is the increasing
demand by human beings with the development of the technologies. All IT professionals
must understand the importance of green technology. The professionals need to be alert about
the power they are consuming. They must know that the consumption of power is not within
the coverage of the entire green spectrum (Sorokin 2017). There are various issues which are
faced by the information technology professionals while performing the following activities
such as reducing the generated waste, recycling and reusing the dangerous electronic-waste,
implementation of the long term policy related to the green technology, decreasing and
eliminating the carbon footprint from the workplace, distribution of the workloads equally
upon the servers, saving papers and improving the energy efficiency and creating different
business model for efficient results. The following issues arises when the IT professionals

tries to maintain the green information technology. The IT professionals are also facing issues
regarding the generations which is used in the workplace. The professionals are facing issues
regarding the ways in which they will connect, care and collaborate with the generation 2020.
The generation 2020 will consists of five different generations in the organization. There are
problems related with the communication and collaboration with the different generation with
the IT professionals (Pearce 2013). The IT professional need to overcome the issues and must
work effectively with the collaboration of the generation in the workplace. When the
professional works effectively the entire network will be improved. The professional working
in the IT sector need to promote gender equality and must encourage women for working in
the IT field. The IT professionals need to find different ways in which they can motivate
other employee to improve the workplace and the workforce with the passing days. The
motivation will completely depend upon the communication skill of the professionals. The
change in the software used by the IT professionals will change the way of working in the IT
sector (Whitcomb 2013).
The British Computer Society (BCS) is a set of body that helps in maintaining all the
legal, social and ethical issues within the IT organization. The BCS helps the professionals of
the IT field to build there different skills and at the same time maintain the awareness related
to the new technology. The BCS also states that the professionals need to maintain the
standard of their working. There are certain BCS code of conduct such as all the
responsibility related to the profession need to be carried out with care. The professionals
must avoid all the situation that gives way to any kind of conflicts. The IT professional need
to maintain the code of ethics in their working environment. The professionals must
understand the importance of the ethics while they are working. One of the main issue is
related to the security. With the increase cybercrime the professionals are facing issues
related to the security. All the data and related information need to be safe and secure. The

privacy within the organization must be maintained. The security breaches need to be
maintained. The risk management framework related with the department must be
maintained. The cybercrime which the professional face is both internal and external. The
issue related with the security occurs within the workplace (Best 2017). The issues are also
faced by the employee of the organization. The ethical issue is also related with the
intellectual property. There are also issue when the information technology professional face
while using the emerging technologies. The issue is also related with the computation of the
system properly. The access to all the information must be authorized and authenticated. The
issue of the ethics have an impact on the society. However it can be stated that while working
the professional need to maintain all the code of conducts. The negative impact is created
when the technology is implemented in the system in a new way. The ethical problem faced
by the professional can be categorized into three parts. The personal privacy issues, the right
of access issue and the different harmful actions. However it is the duty of the IT
professionals to maintain the accuracy and privacy of the data and maintain the ethics within
the organization (Mintz and Morris 2013).
The legal issue faced by the IT professionals is related with the contract, the digital
signatures, the privacy concern, the issue related with the intellectual property and the issues
related with different crimes such as the system abuse, the hacking related problem and the
computer fraud. All the different type of legal issues need to be resolved. The legal issues are
faced when the associated employees of the organization are engaged with certain criminal
offences (Sherer and Leblebici 2015). The technology is improved nowadays with the
boosting of the internet. The use of the internet is the main reason when the legal challenges
is faced by the IT professionals. There are different aspects which can be legal for one place
that is for one country and illegal for the different country. There are certain websites which
must be avoided in the workplace and use of such website led to the legal issues. The legal
