Project Title
The project title can be presented as the implementing project management
methodology in IT field.
Background
According to the case study, the SIGMA is a consulting company who provides lots
of project management based information to various organization for accomplishing their
projects. This company offers the information through their intranet site as well as website.
Under this intranet site, the company put some expertise to handle the potential customers.
The CEO of this organization wants to increase their business by providing more information
to the potential customers [1]. Moreover, this company wants to implement such software
tools by which all project management related information as well as services are easily
accessible for the customers.
Project goal
The project goal is described in terms of project objectives. Here, as per the case
study, SIGMA which is a consulting company provides the project management based
information to the other organizations for finishing their project [8]. For increasing their
business growth, they implement an intranet site through which the potential customers can
be handled by expertise by providing information. In addition to this, they want to implement
such software tool by which the customers can easily access all the information [5]. This
business strategy makes the improvement of the profitability by decreasing the internal costs
by implementing standard tool as well as techniques or project management related
knowledge to the in-house consultants. If the customers can easily access the information
therefore it creates a few number of manpower decreases which makes the profitability for
the organization.
Project scope
Based on the case study, the company have faced some problems regarding their
internal operation. Basically, the company has a corporate website for marketing purpose. On
the other side, the intranet can be used for managing the potential customers as well as human
resource related information where the experts can consult with project management related
information and resolve various complex categorised project through the e-mail system [2].
Moreover, the organization also has a project management based system by which they can

able to track a number of projects along with their scope as well as time and also cost. All of
these factors make the organizational operational activities so complex and in that case, only
the experienced project supervisors can manage all the complex situation and provide the
suggestions about the process of working effectively.
In this case, the project scope delivers that the organization wants to implement a
particular section in the intranet by which the customers can access the information which
makes profitability for the organizations [4]. Moreover, the implementation of new section in
intranet makes the complex situation simpler. Moreover, such security practices need to
implement in this intranet site so that only the potential customers can access the information
and this security practice block the unauthorised users coming from the outside background.

Here, the key stakeholders are given in below:
Company CEO – The CEO of this company provides the direction by which the
company implement the software tool in the intranet [3]. He provides the instructions
by which the project manager continues the project of the implementation of the
software tool.
Project manager The project manager is an individual who supports the
supervision of the project of implementation of software tool in the intranet.
Project team – The project team can support the whole project and they provides their
best performance in this project.
Senior consultants The senior consultants involve to manage the potential
customers regarding various projects [6]. They handle the complexity on projects and
provide the project management related information.
Software developer – For increasing the profitability, the organization wants to
implement the software by which the customers can access the project management
based information. In this case, the software developer can help to develop the
software in the intranet site of the company.
Security developer – The security developer involves to develop the security
practices in this intranet site so that the unauthorised persons cannot enter this intranet
site.
Potential clients – The customers are considered as the assets of this organization and
