Introduction

Project management plan refers to a document that is being utilized for describing each
phase associated with a project (Binder, 2016). The components related with PMP include
initiation, planning, execution, monitoring of processes and its closure. Basically, it is
responsible for identification of results related with project and at what rate success can be attained, how
it can be measured and various other factors are involved.
Organization
The assignment is based on a case of WOWS executives who are looking forward for
hiring motivated as well as talented employees who can work in a team. They will be liable for
managing the critical components and who possess knowledge related system or software
development generally multimedia application development.
Management & Technical approaches
The project is of higher priority and it will take near about 6 months for its completion.
Smart and Bright were joint sponsors for the project and they decided to have Lance Sweets as
the internal IT liaison. They were responsible for formulation of team for this project. For
managing this project, SCRUM project methodology as well as waterfall model (for clarification
related with requirements of project) and acceptance testing will be used for testing the
hardware. SCRUM methodology refers to agile way for managing a projects related with
software development with an aim to deliver new software ability within around 2 to 4 weeks.
Waterfall model denotes a classical model that is being utilized for SDLC (system development
life cycle) for creation of system through sequential and linear approach. Acceptance testing
denotes a technique which is utilized for identification whether software system has attained the
specified requirements or not. Basically, it verifies that organizational needs are fulfilled or not.
Work to Perform
The task is to manage a software project by making use of methodologies like SCRUM
and waterfall. The system will be tested by the usage of acceptance testing. The 6 analyst
programmers will be hired out of which 2 will be liable for designing SDLC as well as analyzing
requirements related with this and rest will be doing programming.

Schedule
It will take 6 months for accomplishment of the project. Programmers will take half a day in a
week for activities related with project management and rest four & a half days will be utilized within
development of the project.
Budget
The approximate budget that has been listed within project charter comprising all the
reserves was around $7, 00,000. Along with this, in case of any kind of contingency fund of
$3,00,000 was kept aside.

what has been already done and what has to be done so that feasibility along with attainment of

Two Weeks Key member left the project due to paternity reasons.
Machine learning & WGCI specialists felt that there was
need to add some features to enhance flexibility.
 Events can be linked with one other but for attaining
flexibility multiple events must be linked with
individual.

conditions of patient can be analyzed.

One Month Mixed reviews were there related with the memo. For this, it
was decided to have detailed meetings so that any kind of
misconceptions can be eliminated. Team was supposed to
have requirements related with the project. There was a
requirement for testing function to identify whether the
benchmark has been attained.
Four And A Half Month All the milestones have been attained and now it’s a testing
phase. For this it was necessary to have reviews related with
quality before carrying out a quality audit. But through this
some issues were identified. The release of the project was
planned and it was necessary to produce the final version
within time as well as per the budget.

Six Months The project was successful as requirements of stakeholders
were attained and it was according to formulated budget.
The project was released in the market and it was a success
which means that it’s a closure time.

For managing this project, I was hired due to knowledge related with development of
systems related with multimedia. For accomplishment of the project, the strategies were designed
in which SCRUM methodology will be used within software development. To have clear details
related with the project it was decided to make use of traditional waterfall model. In addition to
this, 6 analyst programmers as well as someone who have knowledge about organization will be
included within a team so that it becomes easy to understand the project as per the their
viewpoint.

Basically, waterfall model will be used in which initial stage is to gather all the information that
is needed for the project.
What’s going well and why: The sequential model has been used to have a proper framework
and a roadmap with respect to what can be done and how it can be carried out. In addition to each
step can be verified like after requirement analysis, implementation will be carried out and it will
be compiled to check whether its working or not if there is any error then the process will begin
from starting. Though it can take some time but result attained will be as per the desired standard.
What’s not going well and why: There have been issues like while working in a team each have
their own opinions with respect to specific project. Like in this case, 2 said waterfall model can
be utilized and as per the third member SCRUM method will yield better result. So it was decided
to utilize both.
Suggestions/Issues: Traditional waterfall model provides better result if problem occurs in initial
stages but in case if issues arise within last or second last stage then it will take a lot of time and
even budget to start from beginning. There needs to be proper understanding related with each
aspect of project before starting as it cannot be redone from starting.
Project changes: As such there were no changes which have to be made, the project went as per
the desired plan which will make it easier to accomplish it within time and fulfill
requirements of stakeholders.
Review
Each member (three) have given their best within completion of this project as per their caliber
and the reason for this was that, it will help them in future with respect to how to work in a team and give
opinions as well as listen to the perspectives of others. At the end of the day meetings were carried out to

know what has been done and what still has to be done along with this if any kind of issues were faced
then they were being discussed about. The report submitted accordingly. The major issue was
requirement gathering as what has to be done so that at designing or at later stages it do not become
difficult to address any missing functionality. For this, proper time was utilized and each member gave
their best for this and at the end work was started on the assignment.

Project management involves crucial aspects and the initial step is to understand what is
being asked and how it can be attained suppose a software has be developed then the
initial step is to gather information related with that like what all must be included in this
and what will be this about. All the critical aspects must be analyzed before actual it is
worked on as without requirements it cannot be worked on.

on this assignment.
Team selection was appropriate as without understanding, it is not easy to work on
anything as opinions each have their own understanding and it becomes difficult to have
a mutual understanding. As a team while working on this assignment, meetings that were
conducted are in right direction as it gave what others are doing and how long will it take
within completion.

wrong on this assignment.
Some issues were faced with respect to selection of technology like whether to go with
waterfall or use other method for the same work like spiral. As it was not possible to start
from beginning if something goes wrong.
Conclusion
From above, it can be concluded that project management plan plays crucial role while carrying
out any project as without proper planning things can go in wrong way. Along with this it is important to
have understanding related with all the aspects of project before it is actually executed this will assist to
carry out project effectively and desired outcome can be attained.
