INTRODUCTION in IT

INTRODUCTION
 Information technology is defined as the interconnected systems of computers, storage,
telecommunications and other physical devices for proper creation and processing in terms of security
and storing.
 Moreover, there is a glorified historical background of formation of computers from first generations till
fifth ones.
 It has led to manipulation of data and information by employing various tools, techniques and methods
such as information systems.

TASK 1- CLASSIFICATION OF COMPUTERS
 Computer is defined as the programmable device for the data transfer and exchange of information through
a controlled sequence of arithmetic and logical operational models.
 There are four types of computers as the following:
 Supercomputer
 Mainframe Computer
 Minicomputer
 Microcomputer

 It is the most powerful type and is useful by improving computational calculations and
estimations.
 For e.g. space study for understanding shuttles, earthquake mapping, etc.
MAINFRAME COMPUTER
 These are applicable in storing large data and processing and helps in maintenance.
 For e.g. Hitachi's Z800, Fujitsu's ICL VME etc.

 It is known as 'mid-range computers’ which is used for particular purposes in small firms and
enterprises.

MICROCOMPUTER
 It is widely accepted form which is affordable and is used for navigation, education, calculations and
more.
 For e.g. Tablets, laptops, desktops etc.

TASK 2- IMPORTANCE OF INTERNET
 Introduction: Internet is referred as a network of networks at worldwide system to fetch information
 Its been useful in significant manner directly by giving a platform to learn new things and explore the
world through a virtual world.
 Here, internet protocol (IP) reflects on usage of several systems for proper access of computers with
multi lateral commercial contracts.

IMPORTANCE AT AN INDIVIDUAL LEVEL
 Internet helps in formulation of connecting various commercial devices at one location
 This has given an instant reach to learn and unlearn new things in various sectors as below.
 Corporate sector uses Internet of Things in the best possible manner to market and promote their
products and services
 Education sector use it to realise the impact of internet in understanding aspects
 Examples are using messages, emails or any app or websites

IMPORTANCE AT AN ORGANISATIONAL LEVEL
 Organization needs this internet for leveraging their data and information through use of embedded
systems and sensors and actuators in proper manner.
 Its adoption has become indispensable and is of utmost importance in businesses and conducting deals
at worldwide level
 It has laid the foundation to enhance the inter-connectivity at one location by engaging the employees
for performance management
 They can easily deals with other countries and cities through using Internet of Things in effective
manner

TASK 3-USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
 Social media is diversified platform that emphasis on the overall evaluation and assessment for
information transfer of ideas etc. with the help of virtual devices
 Examples like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter , e-commerce websites etc.

 It helps in educating the students and people in being updated about the latest trends
 It increases the marketing viability for large corporations
 It helps in interaction of exchanging the information and details about anything and everything
