programs are used to solve problems with regards to technology. This report also focuses on the
globalisation and how information technology effects the whole economy. As well as, this report
explains digital infrastructure which means digital technologies that provide foundation for
businesses information, technology and operations. So, these digital improvements will improve
the performance of concern and give them more opportunities to double up their profits.
Section 1 :
Two of IT solutions which solves all the problems and leads to better work performance of the
business concern.
Mc Afee :

founded in and later in 2011 it was purchased by Intel as well as Intel security division. It is an
antivirus software which scans all malware and protect computer from external viruses. Mo
rover, it is top antivirus brand and considers best by its users. It has excellent power to detect
malware and other than this, it has lot of other feature as well such as password manager and a
VPN. In addition to this, it provides customer support and its easy to set up and use. It comes
with sophisticated suite of security features ranging from protecting from ransomware, crypto
jacking and malware to speeding up the web browsing to perform work. (Rasmussen,
2019)Along with this, it protect all the data, documents and passwords and has all the features
which makes the experience of using computers safe and smooth. Various features of this has
been mentioned below :
Ransomware protection : Ransom gourd offers provide real time protection to systems
without intruding the experience. It will help to encrypt files as well as it creates
protected copies of threatened files which ensures data will be protected.

McAffe's quick clean : it is a feature which helps to clean up computer to improve
security and speed. It keeps on scanning system to find out cookies and temporary files,
which can consume space in system and provide information to hackers. So, quick clean
provides entire information regarding junk files, which ultimately helps companies to free
up the working space by removing all unnecessary files. So, computers can clean up the
entire working space with just clicking up on the button.(Zhu and Kouhizadeh, 2019)

This technical development has been a driving forces of the companies. It compels
businesses to become global dealers by increasing the economies of scale. These
advancements has reduced the cost of transportation and communication across nations
and facilitates global root age of raw material and other resources. Alternatively, patented
technology urges businesses to exploit business across countries without much
competition(Berndtson, 2020).
With the rise of world wide web, companies deal across globe without the barriers of
time and place. Additionally, this has provided comforts of making transactions any time,
sitting at any part of this world. Not only this, companies can now do cross border
investment by complying all terms and policies with regard to country in which
investment will be done.

Digital infrastructure:
It consists of digital technologies which provides a platform for the company's
information technology and its operations. Moreover, it usually represents physical assets which
is required to operate technologies such as digital communication, computing and data storage. It
further include resources that helps to enable shifting of applications and code for increasing
customer experiences, developing intelligence into business operations and supporting ongoing
industry innovations. The following examples are: Data centres and networks, cloud services and
software, operational security and data encryption(Fan and et.al., 2020).
One of the digital technologies which is taken into consideration is Broadband.
Broadband:
It refers to a series of high capacity transmission technologies that is helpful in
transmitting data, voice and video over long distance areas and at higher transmission speeds. It
is always connected which eliminates the need for dial-up. Moreover, its importance is far- more
considered as it allows high quality and quick access to necessary information, teleconferencing,
data transmission etc. Furthermore, It provides its services in various domains such as healthcare
sector , education sector, government sector and Information technology sector. A proper
broadband connection is crucial for the business firms as it provides access and transmission of
confidential data in consuming no time which ensures the smooth operation of the company(Kim
and et.al., 2018). In relation to it, It includes the channels which supports the process of data
transmission which are coaxial cables, fibre optic cables and radio waves.
There are different types of broadband technologies that includes Digital subscriber
line ,cable modem, fibre, wireless and broadband over power-lines(BPL).
Advantages:
Mobility: One of the most important advantage of broadband is that it provides the user
to access the internet just by sitting anywhere like: in office, canteen etc. but the user
should be in the range of the broadband connection.
Connect various devices: It provides the facility to connect more than one device to the
Wi-Fi router that can be phone , smartwatch, scanner and laptops. Hence, multiple users
can utilize the same internet and can perform multiple tasks.
Faster speed: This connection is way faster than the dial up connections as it provides
the standard speed of 56KB per second. Moreover, its speed can range up-to 100MBps
Document Page
which enables the user to surf websites, load videos and use communication channels
such as video conferencing at the lightning speed.
Affordable installation cost: The installation charges for the broadband connection
does not costs higher compared to available devices and is the most affordable and cheap
option to enjoy lag free internet(Raghavan, Jain, S. and Varma, P., 2019).
Disadvantages:
Security Threats: Usage of broadband connection can pose significant threat in front of
the user as one mistake can provide an access of confidential information in the hands of
unethical hackers. Moreover, It can also cause a significant financial loss to the users.
Signal strength: There are number of factors which can negatively impact the strength of
the broadband connection like: The strength of the signal may be affected if the user fails
to be in the range of the router or the bad weather conditions can also be the reason for
the slower internet speed or disconnection.
Section 5:
Outsourcing :
It is the process of hiring third party to perform the operations of the company that used
to be earlier produced internally. It is a process undertaken by the companies due to low costs
and high efficiency.
There are so many risks which are associated with outsourcing of work such as :
Inexperienced staff members : There are chances companies might not have IT
specialist for solid management or they have inexperienced staff to manage the
operations.
Loss of control : In case, if companies transfers its responsibilities to another company
to perform its operations then it loses control of its entire information system. This
dependency would lead to higher costs and less control over their operations.
Dependency on the supplier : Here, companies become dependant on suppliers who
may create problems with regards to finance and deteriorating services and may create
problem for clients. So, to reduce risks companies can communicate the importance of
Document Page
business processes, transactions, functions and so on with the suppliers(Sengupta, Bodini
and Franco, 2018).
Positive impact of IT in digital transformation:
Enhanced data collection : as most of the businesses are collecting information about
customers from internal or external sources which helps them to drive their business forward.
This digital advancement has optimize the value and evaluates how customer data is gathered,
stored, analysed and shared as part of this process. As per this businesses use various software
such as customer relation ship management to analyse the tastes and preferences of customers
which helps to generate more profits to the organisation(Fatima, 2017).
Conclusion:
In the above report information system has been discussed and how it has impacted entire
economy. These systems records raw data and convert into useful reports which assist in
decision making to the top level management. Besides this, it includes how integrating with
global economy has benefited the companies. At the last, information system outsourcing has
been discussed to understand its impact on global level.
