V. LITERATURE REVIEW
A. Problems faced by Raysut cement
company
The production of the cement requires a
lot of mining and transport of the limestone
which mean that there is a need of high
equipment’s and fuel costs and there
tracking of all this thing become very
difficult (Benhelal et al. 2013). There is a
high requirement for energy which means
large need for equipment’s and this means
there is also a need for high requirement of
IT requirement and along with this there is
also need for equipment for controlling the
carbon emission. IT requirement is essential
for the purpose of evaluating the amounts of
fuels needed in dehydrating of the
limestone’s (Uson et al. 2013).
The concrete is not recycling so the
debris needs to be broken into small parts
therefore there needs to be differentiation
between the things that needs to be done so
for that there is also a need for an IT device
to identify them and separate them.
Due to the ubiquitous and durable nature
of concrete it is often demolished before
completing its lifetime. The demolishing of
the concrete structures is tough and requires
a lot of equipment’s labour and fuel so it
again becomes necessary for the company to
adopt certain measures for easy management
of this activities(Aldy and Stavins 2012).
They are facing a problem in controlling of
the harmful greenhouse gases (Khan et al.
2012).
Problem facing in the
management of the fuels and the
fossil fuels needed for the purpose
and maintaining the air quality
around its neighbouring
areas(Hasanbeigi Price and Lin
2012).
B. Need for new IT/IS interventions
Like other cement companies this
Raysut also needs new technologies for the
purpose of development and to fulfil its
requirements in respect of its durability,
upgradation of strength, ability to work, cost
and environment related to it(Benson
2015).Dependency on the contents of the
cement all this criteria of the cement factory
id fulfilled up to certain degree. The
producer decides the appropriate type of
cement depending on this criterion’s.
Durability is the essential feature that is to
be considered by the producers in
developing of new types of cement. There is
also a need for looking into the matter of
carbon resistance, resistance against the
chloride penetration. The cost required for
the energy and the environmental concerns
had made the company think of adopting
various new technologies(Gambhir 2013)
for the purpose of using the waste materials.
They are also aiming at sustainable
development for the purpose of designing
their structure.

Various new IT and IS technologies
can be adopted for the purpose of meeting
the challenges it is facing right now. First of
all, they have to identify the problems and
then decide which technology is to be used
accordingly. By the application of the
automated or semi-automated tracking at the
activities that are of low level like the
managing of the labours, managing the
labours and many more is one of the
important section of the Information system
(Laudon and Laudon 2016) that can be used
by the company. This is also termed as
transaction processing system. This system
can also be used for the purpose of
providing the data that are very much
essential for the purpose of supporting the
management of the various operations that
are taking place within the organisation
(Gallagher and Sixsmith 2014).
Management information system can be
used by the managers of Raysut for the
purpose of looking into the matters of
difficulties like better management of the
transport, the fuel required by the company
for the purpose of production and many
more (Lee and Yu 2012). The information
that will be provided by this system will
greatly help the managers of Raysut to
evaluate the performance of the company
with the previous outputs of the company.
This might include the management of the
sales department of the company or the
management of the inventory of the
company or the budget of the company and
many more. Implementation of the decision
support system can also be used for the
purpose of making decisions by the
company (Demetriou Stillwell and See
2012). By implementation of this system the
current structure of the information can be
analysed and will help the managers to take
essential decisions which will help in
serving benefits to the company in future.
this will greatly help the company to make
decisions about what is to be done with the
problems like the maintenance of air quality,
emission of various greenhouse gases and
many more. Executive information system
can be used by the company (Azad Amin
and Alauddin 2012). This information
system includes the analysing of the various
environmental conditions by the higher
officials of the Raysut and along with this it
will also help them in identifying the trends
for long-term and to make plans for taking
appropriate actions. This will help in better
designing of the company infrastructure as
there will be no intermediate and only the
executives can operate the system directly.
This system includes the use of the internal
as well as the external resources. Will help
in supporting (Galliers and Leidner 2014)
the decisions that are unstructured and along
with this this system is also flexible.
VI. RESEARCH METHODS AND DATA
SOURCES
This report has been prepared after
gathering the response from the employees
about few of the questions that has been
asked to them. The first part of analysing the
problems was done successfully by the use
of information gathered from the feedback
of the employees. A broad scope of the
literature has been done by the use of the
electronic database. The scope was limited
to the peer reviewed journal articles
published in English between 2012 and
2017.
VII. FINDINGS AND CONCLUSION
The above discussion helps to conclude
that the company is facing various problems
since its establishment. Various problems
that the company is facing right now has
been identified in report. The problems that
are being faced by Raysut is almost similar
to all those problems that other cement
company faces. The most common problems
