INTRODUCTION
Business IT system constitute investigations and regulations of informations of an
enterprise by implementation of technology. Application of IT system in organisational structure
will lead the company to gain the competitive advantages over the corrivals of the business
concern(Vaishnavi and Kuechler, 2015.). This study analyses the use of IT System in various
organisational functions and different ways by which IT system process and stores the data for
several managements such as; knowledge, communication, data and consumer's relationship
management. Study also evaluate the system of IT which provide support to the business
operations and its sustainability. This study discusses the solutions for the common business
problems.

P1) IT system in various organisational functions.
IT systems are in use within organisations as this system carry out various functions of
the organisation, Blackberry. As Blackberry is a telecommunication company, that is why the
use of IT system is beneficial for organisation as it provide primary processing of business
transactions, ease of interaction which enable organisational suppliers, distributors and customers
to communicate by the means of technological systems(Paré and et.al., 2015). Following are
some use of IT system in an organisational various functions:-
IT system in various operational function:-
Operations management-
IT systems performs several organisational tasks, use of this system in operation
management of Blackberry will help in raising the productivity of the employees. The
operational processes such as; managing inventory, planning regarding resources of enterprise,
process, database and quality management etc. become easy and frequent(Vaidyanathan and
Volos, 2017). The use of IT system helps Blackberry in its growth and development process. All
transactions are being recorded and maintain in computer, as the business organisation,
Blackberry need to maintain secrecy of the customer's information. IT system make the effective
management of operational activities.
Marketing management-
IT systems act as a tool for the management of marketing activities, it is so because, IT
systems make the data collection process fast and frequent. The collected data helps the manager

to make policies or strategies according to the analysis made through IT system, as by using IT
systems in Blackberry, the collected data are computed accurate and one can rely on its accuracy.
By making the use of IT systems in marketing department will make the market research
effective and fast(Vaidyanathan and Volos, 2017). Organisation can find the analytics and can

innovate the ideas and because of IT system managers can increase the proficiency of their
personnel and their productivity also be increased which further be profitable for Blackberry.
Finance and Warehousing-
IT system plays a significant role for the development and improvement of financial
services of Blackberry. As the company or the organisation now can integrate all the customers
at one click, which allows the customers to pursue for the online transactions and the customers
as well as the financial department of Blackberry can easily access the informations. For
effective and efficient financial services to the customers and the users of financial information
the finance manager prefer the use of IT system (Picincu, 2018). It becomes easy for the finance

explained as follows:-

It is the system which is refers as the process or technique of sharing, creation, usage and
managing the information or knowledge of an enterprise. KM (knowledge management) system
emphasize in making the best possible use of understanding and knowledge for the betterment of
the business. IT systems process as well as store the data related to the sources of knowledge,
apprehend and uses of knowledge (Vaishnavi and Kuechler, 2015). This system focus on
achieving the objectives of Blackberry such as; performance improvement, sharing, innovations
in continuous and careful improvement of the business concern.
Consumer Relationship Management-
IT system will retrieve and stores the data for assuring better relationships of the
company from its customers. The details and preferences of the customers are kept confidential
in IT system of Blackberry. IT System process the data of its potential customers and the past
record are also being stored in the system of IT, which helps the organisation to make policies
and strategies according to the trend in the customer's preferences. By implementing IT system,
Blackberry concentrate on Consumer Relationship Management and drive its focus on the

effectiveness of the business. These types are explained below:
1.Production/Operation Information system:
Operational and production information technology helps to improve the business
operation by reducing the operational cost of the products, increases the efficiency and
effectiveness in the process, full utilization of resources through internet or intranet. Information
technology improves the performance of the company by reducing risk of security. It also helps
to increase the growth of e-commerce in business operations. It increases the safety regulation of
the government related to sustainability (Land, 2018). Through information technology company
should know about shift in customer behaviour. On the other hand due to fast changes in
technology performance of business suffer because customer may changes their wants needs
according to the present technology.
2. Marketing Information system:

for the company because increasing computers and networks which increases the competition in

market with various products and different features of their products which customer get
attracted towards that products and it reduces the sale of the company which in result decrease in
performance of the business. With the help of this system Blackberry can make their marketing
practices more sustainable.
3. Human Resources Management Information System :
Human resources management involves recruitment, placement, compensation and
development of the employees working in the organisation. HRM focuses on the best use of
human resources of the organization. Human resources information system helps in development
of employees, it controls over the policies and program of the business. It also helps to meet the
personnel needs of the company to improve the performance of the business. Information
technology plays a major role in changing the HRM policies like through internet companies can
upload their recruitment process on their corporate websites. Information technology support to
improve the business operation because they provide information faster it also provides all time
services to the Company and people so it will increase the performance of the company (Meyr,
Wagner and Rohde, 2015). The Worst part of information technology is that everyone depends
on the internet services. Nowadays recruitment, selection training done on internet this will
negatively effect the company performance because sometimes those people who are not worth
for the company are selected through this process.

 Marketing information System: Blackberry is poor in decision making. They
cant coordinate and unable to control information in the organization. They are
not meeting their target goals because of their process and technology. Unable
to analyse and visualize information data. This will lead to decrease in value of
profits(Schwalbe, 2015). Management information system used by decision
makers to examine buyers and make changes in their processing and
technology will help blackberry to coordinate and get control on data storage
and poor decision management. Management information system is to increase
value of profits.
 Decision Support System: blackberry was in problem because of getting
loss. Apple and android success take down blackberry's market. Because of
less sales of phones company is not meeting their targeted goals. The reason
behind the deduction of sales is that other companies are bringing new
innovative ideas into the market. system helps blackberry to coordinate with
the different countries. If they want to increase their sales they have to work on
their system software and bring new ideas into their phones can increase their
profits. Because of high prices everyone was interested in other brands so they
have to look for it. Manage and coordination with the buyers is the best
solution to increase sales.
 Marketing Information System: Blackberry generally faces the problem of low
revenue and low profitability ratio. The company lacks the system which can upgrade
them with the latest marketing information due to which they are unable to meet the
demand of the customer and survive the cut-throat competition. This has eventually
lead to decreased revenue as well as sales ratio. In order to cope up with this,
Blueberry can use marketing information system which would help them in organized
and consistent data collection along with storage of information(Vaishnavi and
Kuechler, 2015). This will eventually help them in increasing customer base and
hence boosting up the sales and profit.

 Decision support system: Besides the problem of less revenue generation, Blueberry
also face the problem in effective decision making due to which the company is
unable to communicate with the cross department and thus this results in less
productivity from the employees. Apart from this, they are unable to monitor the
performance of employees effectively which ultimately leads them to wrong decision-
making(Schwalbe, 2015). To overcome this, Decision support system would help the
managers of blueberry to take the decisions according to the scenario and thus will
improve the interpersonal communication within the company. It will also help in
enhancing the business operations and managing the performance of the employees.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded that application of IT system in the company is
very essential for be in the competitive edge and it plays vital role in various functions of the
organisations. In this study it is concluded that IT system also contributes in the achievement of
organisational goals effectively and efficiently. It is analysed in the present study that IT system
assists in storage and processing of the data for various management concern of Blackberry
telecommunication organisation, and also ensure its rapid growth among the competitors. It is
recommended to Blackberry's managers to apply IT system to find the solutions of common
problems of business to gain competitive advantages.
