Question 1: Advantages and disadvantages of object-oriented database
Advantages
There are various advantages of object-oriented database which are described below:
 Enhanced the modelling abilities of the system
 Extensibility
 It has the ability to maintain large numbers of data types
 Removal of impedance mismatch
 Improved performance (Dba Oracle, 2015).
Disadvantages
There are following drawbacks of the object-oriented database:
 Lack of universal data model
 Lack of skills
 Lack of standards
 More complex
 More expansive
 Lack of security and privacy of data
Question 2: Datamarts
The term data mart is defined as the structure of data which is used to retrieve
consumers facing data and it is mainly oriented to a particular business line. Such kind
of process is designed to serve a specific community of experienced employees and it
also enables consumers to retrieve information from a unique department (GURU99,
2018). It is observed that data marts differ from the data warehouses because it needs
less space which makes them more easy to search and run in the system. Moreover, as
compared with the data warehouses, a data mart is a more effective and appropriate
process for organizations.
Question 3: HTML
The term HTML is defined as the hypertext mark-up language which is used by
consumers for developing web pages and web applications. It is observed that by using

HTML process pictures and other interactive forms can be embedded into the page and
it provide a way to produce structured documents by denoting structural semantics for
hypertexts (Tutorials Points, 2016). It is identified that the HTML process is required to
utilize the web because it helps HTML for receiving documents from the servers and
local storage. Therefore, using web HTML can perform more complex tasks and also
ensure the proper formatting of texts and pictures.
Question 4: global IS
It is identified that every website is a form of a global information system because a
website can be used globally for collecting information and it can be used by consumers
in multiple countries. For example, Tumblr is defined as a blog which is mainly utilized
by numbers of organizations for promoting their products and services and update
consumers. Moreover, it is identified that the website can be used by consumers for
obtaining information and as a form of self-opinions and self-expression. Therefore,
every website is a form of global information system and users can access from any
location.
Question 5: the purpose of the expert system
It is identified that the major purpose of an expert system is to replicate skills and
knowledge of consumer experts in a specific field and then to utilize this skills for
solving the problems and issues without using human experts contribution. Moreover,
expertise refers to the competitive asset for any organization and by detecting the
expert system in software; the organization can continue to utilize the expertise when
the expert is not available in the workplace (Jhigh, 2018). Therefore, such kinds of
features show that the expert system can be served as a competitive tool.
Question 6: geographic information system
The term GIS is defined as the geographic information system which is a part of a
computer system that used in the organizations for detecting, storing and checking data
relevant to positions on earth’s surface. Such kind of process helps companies and
individuals for better understanding spatial patterns and relationships (Research
Guides, 2018). The purpose of the geographic information system is to capture and

store the data or information related to the geography and analyse the obtained data
about present spatial.
