Introduction
The company in Perth Hoarders requires a smart office by implementing IoT (Internet of Things)
technologies. The technology IOT and its use is growing immensely all over the world in order
to make things connected to the Internet which further helps in completing the work or any task
quickly and efficiently. The company have its main office in Perth and a remote office in
Kalgoorlie. The Perth office needs several smart devices which will make the operations in the
office easier such as controlling the lights or controlling door or controlling windows etc. and it
is necessary that the smart devices in Perth office can be controlled by the user in Kalgoorlie.
Below are the smart devices which needs to configured in Perth office –

These devices need to be wirelessly equipped so that these can be connected to a common
wireless router. The company has been assigned a lease line from “Pert Pods” ISP for Perth and
Kalgoorlie office.

In order to establish the IOT technologies in the company there is a need to configure it.
Following are the steps to configure IoT environment for Hoarders –
Configuring Registration server, Wireless Router and tablet

Step 1: Figure 1, in this step we add wireless tablet, wireless router and cable modem in the
Perth Office. Tablet will be connected to the wireless router later. Wireless router is connected to
the cable modem and this cable modem is connected to the ISP.

Step 2: Figure 2, in this step we connect Registration server to the ISP cloud via Ethernet cable.

Step 3: Figure 3, in this step we configure wireless router. We set OfficeNet as SSID, WPA-
PSK as Authentication, 11692912 as passphrase and AES as Encryption type.

Step 4: Figure 4, in this step we configure wireless service on tablet. We set OfficeNet as SSID,
WPA-PSK as Authentication, 11692912 as passphrase and AES as Encryption type.

Step 5: Figure 5, in this step we configure DHCP services on Registration Server. We set
Starting IP address – 121.11.0.2, Subnet Mask – 255.255.0.0 and DNS Server – 121.11.0.1

Services > IoT in registration server.

Step 1: Figure 7, in this step we add all the smart devices which are required to the Perth Office.

Step 2: Figure 8, in this step we add the wireless module to all the smart devices in order to make
them wireless. This option is in Advanced tab in smart device configuration panel.

Step 3: Figure 9, in this step we configure wireless service on all smart devices. We set
OfficeNet as SSID, WPA-PSK as Authentication, 11692912 as passphrase and AES as
Encryption type.

Step 4: Figure 10, in this step we add a user with username 11692912 and password 11692912
from the page “Sign up Now” on the home page of 121.11.0.1.

Step 5: Figure 11, in this step we register each smart device. For this we set IoT Server as
remote Server, Server address as 121.11.0.1, Username as 11692912 and password as 11692912.

and password, we use 11692912.
