Wireless communication has brought tremendous changes in the information and
communication technology. Wireless Communication is the technique by which
communication occurs without the use of wire. Data and information are transferred from one
place to another through the electromagnetic signals. The communication occurs when the
sender propagates the signals and the receiver captures it. Advantages and disadvantages of
wireless communication are described below.
Advantages of wireless communication
The greatest and most important benefit which wireless communication provides is the
service of mobility which allows the user to use the technology anywhere and can be
carried to different places and location and hence allowing more freedom for movement.
It is very cost-effective as it does not require heavy installation of devices and easy to
maintain and help in saving expenses.
Wireless communication offers great durability (Rappaport, et al. 2015) of the devices as
can be easily repaired and hence provide great efficiency of the performance.
Disadvantages of wireless communication.
The major concern of wireless communication is its security issue, they are less secure
than wired communication as information can be easily hacked and data can be stealing if
it’s not protected.
It requires careful planning of radiofrequency when the networks are first installed or
implemented.
Wireless Communication is totally dependent on the network, poor network connectivity
will result in slower transmission and can lead to various problems.

Reflection of creating access point
To connect a Wi-Fi device, it is very necessary to have an access point where different
devices can be connected in a sequence. To achieve this purpose, a networking system is
being analyzed in a software name Acrylic. In this software MAC address of all devices is
visible and created strong connection. This software not only shows the MAC address but
also presents the quality of channels, network speed. There are some major issues which are
being faced by the end users while connecting with the LAN is security, to tackle this
problem; a proper security system is revealed which cares that networking software is used to
connect all devices. The working principle of this software to get access point is based on the
standard rules of networking. It is also called Wi-Fi scanner which has a lot of hidden
features to maintain the speed, quality, quantity and security of the end users’ devices
connected with the software (Mitchell, 2019).

Reflection on Wi-Fi signals and distance
Signal strength is the very major factor for Wi-Fi connection. Every Wi-Fi scanner has a
specific range of connectivity which depends upon the built-in antenna. This range is
depending upon the distant of the Acrylic networking scanner and the end user device like
laptop, android mobile, tab etc. Data is transferred in bit pre seconds and the connectivity of
the networking system depends upon the signal strength (Yu et al. 2018). When this
assignment is completed, I’ve also learnt that the power devices with low power radio have
less ability to connect with the networking system. The Acrylic software works at two major
frequencies which are 2.4 GHz and the other one is five GHz. The signals which tune at first
frequency are known as low frequency signals and these kinds of signals can easily cross the
barriers. The signals which tune at the 5Hz frequency are high frequency signals. These
signals cannot able to cross the internal barriers like home’s walls, windows etc.

aluminum foil can increase the strength of Wi-Fi signals however the signal to noise ratio of
any signal plays major role to strengthen the signal. The signal which has higher signal to
noise ratio considered batter quality signal. The metallic object can affect the signals strength
of Wi-Fi but paper sheet and plastic piece cannot affect the signal strength. The access point
can be affected by creating the focal point of aluminum foil and if the aluminum foil is cut
down into pieces which works as parabolic reflector which can effectively focus on the Wi-Fi
signal this is trick by which signal strength can be increased.
