This report analyzes the role of business intelligence (BI) in enhancing the decision-making process within organizations. Introduction
Decision making process is the crucial step for simplifying the challenges and problems
which exist with the management of business operations smoothly. Business intelligence
tools are used for accelerating the profit earned by the company. We have induced our
investigation and discussion on evaluating the role played by the business intelligence in
enhancing the decision making process. Challenges in the decision making process occurs
when there exists no ideal solution for the problem. Communication is the medium for
minimizing the impact of problem on the operational working environment of the business.
Analysis
By studying the literature papers, we are able to conclude that the decision making process
can be categorised into four types which are named as individual decision making, group
decision making, organizational decision making, and meta-organization decision making.
Decision taken by the authorised parties is affected by the critical and logical thinking power
of the individual and their application in handling complex situation. Data mining tools are
used for developing the business decision making model for managing the big data in a
synchronised manner. Availability of data is depends on the customer value and preference.
Direct and indirect relationship can be developed by implementing data mining. Data mining
and systematic arrangement of data is required for classifying data into categories, estimating
frequency of data usage, prediction, rules applied for association, managing clusters of data,
and describing the data. Identification of data sets at an early phase of the project helps in
accelerating the decision making process. It has been seen that most frequently used data
management and mining techniques which are used can be classified as decision making tree,
examples solving, non-linear regression, graph detection and dependence model, and others.
These methods are based on online analytical process modelling which helps in examining
the data. Intelligent system can be developed by validating the knowledge for the
management of data in critical situation. Knowledge validation helps in managing data for
completing the given process, choosing best alternative for solving the given problem, and
sharing of knowledge in internal and external environment. Framework of knowledge
management helps in initializing the data delivery in different areas. Processing can be
enhanced by enabling the visualization of data to enables the decision making process.

Parameters used for business intelligence system
Application of the business intelligence tools depends on the size of data used for handling
the business process. Association rules helps in improving the decision criteria. Knowledge
and experience gain by the data management and mining process can be improved by
applying the business intelligence tools. It is required to identify the goal of the enterprise so
that required information can be collected to take better decision for handling the complex
situation. Parameters which are used for developing the business intelligence system depends
on the decision in relation to the managing data complexity, data usage, precision, accuracy,
importance, data size, creditability, certainty with data collection methods, updated data, and
required processing method. Decision taken for solving the complex situation depends on
different characteristics of the data which are classified as reliability, availability, compact
size, correctness, accuracy, complete information, and visibility.
Visualization of data depends on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of data used for
taking effective decision. Evaluation of data depends on various factors which are categorised
correctness, usefulness, precise, accuracy, reliability, creditability, data size, suitability, and
completeness. Matrix is developed for identifying the applicability of data on the business
process model so that complexity can be effectively managed.
Motivating example
Goal of organization depends on the applicability and selection of the correct decision in
different areas. Selection of the correct decision to handle the complex situation depends on
the availability of correct data. Correctness of data can be evaluated by identifying its
correctness, usefulness, precise, accuracy, reliability, creditability, data size, suitability, and
completeness. Different data sets are designed to handle different scenarios and decision
making process. Dependency of the data depends on transitive states of data. Decision for the
benefit of business is affected by the availability of data at right time. Business intelligence
system is based on the inclusion of technologies and people to take effective decision for
handling the situation by applying knowledge and experience. Business demands can be
fulfilled by analysing historical records.
Now a days, organization are moving their working environment by building the IT
infrastructure support which helps in saving time and man power efforts. Changes in the
market and demand of the customers can be judged by the business intelligence system
before their occurrence. It helps in eliminating the complex situation from the enterprise

processing model. Strategic decision can be taken by evaluating the critical activity for
handling the financial and human resource complexity. Integration of BI process explores the
strategic and tactical knowledge of the manager to take effective decision to handle the
problematic scenario of the working environment. Adoption of BI is useful for gaining the
competitive advantage in the global world.
Decision taken by the authorised person is influenced by the BI tools due to the intelligent
support of data management, enhancing decision by providing relevant data and information
for reasoning, optimizing the recommendation process, and improving handling of business
information. Risks associated with the delivery of the process can be minimized by
synchronising the data. Dynamic decision can be taken by optimizing the simulation of risks
associated in the process control block designed for the enterprise for the smooth functioning
of the business model.
Conclusion
By reviewing the paper, we are able to conclude that decision making process is the integral
part of the enterprise which can be enhanced by utilizing the business intelligence system to
solve the complex situation. It is required to identify the goal of the enterprise so that
required information can be collected to take better decision for handling the complex
situation.
Summary
During the reviewing of the literature paper, we are able to identify the viewpoint of different
researchers in presenting the same problem in different structure. It has been identified that
complex situation and problems can be effectively handled by providing right information
and right time so that required decision can be taken. I am able to improve my observational
and decision making skills. I have learnt that application of correct decision can handle the
problematic situation effectively. Decision taken by the authorised parties is affected by the
critical and logical thinking power of the individual and their application in handling complex
situation. Simulation of risk during the project start-up phase is used for minimizing its
impact on the undergoing processes and results in completing the operation smoothly. Group
discussion platform inbuilt the power of presenting our thoughts, opinion, and vision freely
among the others. Privilege of our knowledge will be given if we present our thoughts with
proof and justification. Delivery of thoughts is to be based on the data collected from

different areas to improve knowledge. Selection of the correct decision is the integral part for
the successful handling of the complex situation. Simulation of the problem helps in taking
correct decision to handle the situation effectively. Information collected from different
sources broaden by thinking process. Intelligence can be enhanced by gaining knowledge.
Application of intelligence is useful for taking required decision to tackle the scenario.
