In this video, I am focusing on the impacts of data mining within the sports industry. Data
mining plays a major role in the sports industry. Data mining is defined as the use of different
tools and techniques that would be able to gather a very large amount of data. Data mining
defines the various kind of patterns and relationship within the data that would also result in
generating new areas of knowledge. In this discussion, I would further discuss about the impacts
of data mining techniques within the industry of sports. The impact of the relationships within
the generated data would result in predicting the future outcomes within the industry of sports.
The world of sports is based on the generation of a vast amount of statistical data. Each of
the sport events such as football, cricket and many others entirely depend on many form of
calculations. In order to perform a huge level of calculation, the use of data mining techniques
would prove to be much useful for gaining a competitive advantage. In this video, I have
included the ways in which data mining could be able to put an impact on the sports industry.
These include the measurement of performance of players, scouting and also predicting the
future form of outcomes within the sector. The use of Artificial Neural Network would also be
useful for the prediction of future results within the sports industry.
With the impact of data mining within the sports industry, it would have a major impact
on the communication within the various segments involved within the sports industry.
Communication within the sports industry plays a major role for passing information from one
person to another. The generated data based on the techniques of data mining helps in improving
the communication within the sports industry. Thus, I conclude my presentation by discussing
that data mining would play a major impact within the sports industry and would also impact the
future generation.
