as well as falling in the field of hardware prices. With the help of internet of things, the huge
amount of changes happen in the case of delivering products or goods or services. Some of
the features of the internet of things that comprise the artificial intelligence, connectivity,
sensors, active engagement as well as minor devices. By using the internet of things, there are
lot of advantages including the improvement of the customer engagement, technology
optimization, and the enhancement of the data collection etc. These advantages bring an
improvement in the modern world.
Healthcare industry
The healthcare industry can referred as the medical industry is the combination with
economic sector that provides the treatment to the patients with a preventive care. The
healthcare industry provides the generation as well as utilization of goods or services to
maintain the patient’s health. Nowadays, the total healthcare industry is categorised into
different sectors and based on only the professionals as well as paraprofessionals the control
the requirements as per the patient’s health condition. In today’s world, the healthcare
industry is one of the fastest growing industry which consumes almost 10 percent of the gross
domestic product and become a large part of the nation’s economy. The delivery services in
the healthcare industry is the most important visual part because it provides from the primary
stage of treatment to the secondary as well as tertiary stage of treatment. In the modern world,

the healthcare industry provides the different ways of treatment in various areas like
community, home as well as workplace also. In the modern healthcare industry, the patient
can communicate with the doctors over video conferencing or many other ways such as over

Brain computer interface on the Aerospace industry
The brain computer interface, also known as brain machine interface, is one kind of
neuroprosthesis that helps to enable its user for communicating through a machine by the
modulation of the brain activity. This interface helps to record as well as decode the brain
signals. It is largely used in the aerospace industry. It helps to the astronauts where they are in

At the present times, the reduction of the overall cost happens to prevent the chronic
illness by using a set of technologies. With the help of these technologies, many devices help
to monitor the health indicators continuously as well as to manage the auto-administer
therapies or to make a tracking in the real time health data. All of the operations are
completed by using high speed internet and other smart devices like smart phones because it
is easily accessible for the patients to manage their health issues. These kinds of devices are
hugely used in the healthcare industry and combined the other applications like telemedicine
or telehealth through the medical IoT. Apart from that, Big Data analytics itself helps to
reduce the medication errors and other activities like decrement the hospitals cost and also an
improvement of better quality services.

As discussed in the previous section, one of the impact of the IoT in healthcare is
preventive care. The four factors of the impact are-
 In the preventive care, it is possible to continue checking the patients’ health related
status by smart modern sensors.
 It is possible by the digital devices for managing the mobility criteria of the patient
with muscular structures damages and figure out the exercise routines depends on the
real time performance of the patient using the digital treatment session.
 It is also possible to monitor the health condition of the patients in real time location.
 It should be always kept confidential all the health related information of the patient.
Lawrence Lessig’s regulations
In the above discussed four factors, as per Lawrence Lessig’s regulations, the first
factor is related to market factor of the regulations. Because all these sensors or devices are
available in the market and for the large amount of uses of these sensors, the manufacturing
companies can gain efficient amount of profit. The second factor is related to the architecture
factor in the regulations because by using the modern technology, the architecture of the
digital devices helps to manage the health issues. The third factor is the law related because
not only use the modern technology but also following the governmental rules and policies to
monitor the patient’s health in the live location. The last factor relates the social norms factor
of the regulations. Because the data of the patients should keep confidential so that there is no
hacking in the database system.
The last factor that is to keep the data in proper security is the ethical in character
wise, because the hacking system may damage the not only the reputation of the hospitals but
also the bad reflection in patients’ lives.

diseases. The system administrator is the main part in the healthcare industry. He has the
responsibility to manage as well as update the database and put all the patients’ information
in the database. This database is viewed by the doctors as well as the hospital staff and also
the nurses. The doctors also put the patients’ details as per their treatment and for the proper
medication they can view the patients’ information (Mora et al., 2017). Staffs and nurses are
also put any details of the patients like the admission purpose, care purpose in the database so
that the treatment can be easily done for the doctors.

In the earlier days that is before the internet of things, there are a huge number of
paths that would crossed by the patient for getting the treatment. In the first stage, the patient
had arrived in the entrance room and put the all details related to this patient and after that the
patient would go into the emergency room. But it was not the limited things, the patient
would admitted in the hospital when the clearance came from all the related departments of
the hospital. It was so much lengthy process for the patient admission and consumed lot of
time and sometimes it was became the dangerous part for the serious condition patient.

But when the internet of things comes in the digital world, the process of the
admission is more compact. Nowadays, the patient come in the hospital for the treatment
purpose and just provide the details in the administration department and admits in the
hospitals. This process is much easier for the serious condition patients. The technology
makes the healthcare industry more comfortable. All of the members like doctors, nurses as
well as the hospitals staffs can operate all the information related to the patient due to the
centralized system. Also the patient can operate himself to monitor his health condition like
blood pressure, glucose level by using some smart sensors.

The Internet of Things helps to the healthcare industry for the better improvement.
Depending on the IoT, there are lot of advantages like giving the proper training using
various devices, preventive care as well as real time monitoring devices etc. By using the IoT,
the whole operation can be easily managed in the hospitals. Patients get the improved
treatment than the earlier days. Tracking of many medical equipment can be easily solved by
this technology. It can be reduced the maximum errors with the help of IoT. Apart from that,
there should have some ethical considerations of the Internet of Things in medical industry.
