Application Layer:
In this week the topic of the discussion is the application layer. The application layer
has the ability to establish a communication with the services and with the devices that are on
the internet or the local network. Most of the popular websites like the Google maps,
Facebook, pizza hut app, and the Google search engine uses the application layer. Among the
users that are local level and access the application layer are the faxes of the network,
network printers, and the attached network storages. Different categories of the application
layer is discussed like the client server architecture. In the client server architecture the user
of the application are the client of the system. The client that are common are the ftp clients,
email clients, and the web clients. The clients send their respective requests to the servers and
the server take action according to the requests. The main role of the servers are to take some
action against the request made by the clients. The servers needs a valid authentication in it
but many of the server do not have the proper authentication method. Mainly the servers are
run as the server daemon or as a service. Some rules are possessed as well for the clients of
the servers who consumes the services provided by the servers. The server is the provider of
the services to the web or in the other different services. The server and the client are have
the different program code for the two. In this week peer to peer is also discussed in this
week, in the each machine peer to peer is stated as the client server. The server is easily
shared between the all peer and there is no need of any dedicated server. The cloud
computing became more popular in the recent time. There are many services that are
provided by cloud computing for the users. The cloud computing implementation cost is also
less than the other services in the market. The cloud computing has three service to provide
the services of the cloud computing are IaaS, Saas and PaaS. The IaaS is a service provider
that provides the services and manages all the services of the hardware, Storage and the
servers of the networking components. The hardwares are offered by the PaaS, the operating

system and the other type of the software and the databases. In the software everything is
done by the SaaS provider. The common web architecture is the web browser that give the
permission to view the web page, to complete the orders of the webpage, information can be
searched and can do many other things. There are many more application that are network
enabled like the FTP services, mobile application, email clients and many other. The main
objective of the application layer is to provide the connection between the server and the
client. The dialogue of the message is handles, like the message priority is seemed then the
responds is taken according to that. Main objective of the networking is to provide network
connection. Using the network one can send the request and the other will responds to the
requests.
