Introduction
Media LLC is the marketing business that promotes every type of products and
services of any company. Media LLC helps any business in developing plans, marketing
strategies, manages campaigns and provides various services for the market research. The
purpose of this project is to demonstrate the understanding of the concept of the importance
of the information technology related to server virtualization using the Microsoft
virtualization and various components in the system (Morabito, Kjällman & Komu, 2015).
This paper highlights on the virtualization technologies and the Windows Azure technology
for the virtualization in the system of the company, which will be beneficial for the
organization.
Organization’s Environment and its Virtualization
Media LLC is the marketing business and the purpose of this organization is to
interact with the clients, public and customers. Therefore, this business holds thousands and
hundreds of information of the organizations. There is a need of efficient virtualization that
will in storage the information in the secure network and server (Tot, Grubor & Marta, 2015).
Virtualization increases the scalability, flexibility and IT agility while making efficient cost
savings (Li, Jin, Yuan & Zhang, 2017). Virtualization of the company provides many
facilities such as automated operation, increased performance and ability of resources and so
on. Virtualization makes the IT system of Media LLC easy to manage and lower cost to
operate.

Implementation of Microsoft Virtualization
Some of the desktop virtualization products such as Virtualbox, Workstation and
VMware that are most popularly utilized by users cannot be out rightly classified as desktop
virtualization (Rehman, Alqahtani, Altameem & Saba, 2014). In order to implement desktop
virtualization, some steps need to be followed.
Firstly, the system administrator must garner data regarding the type of virtualization
along with the operating systems that the users will be employing. Moreover, the number of
users that are going to utilize that particular desktop must also be understood.
Secondly, the virtualization technology must be implanted. In order to do this, the
operating system must be isolated by utilizing a copy of the hardware devices. The reason to
perform this step is that a user may then reproduce or freely utilize the contents whenever
there is a requirement without commencing it from the beginning.
In order to complete the third step, the network must be examined, implemented and
centralized so that the operating instances of the desktop virtualization can be controlled in an
efficient manner. By properly implementing the network, the users can feasibly avail their
desktop throughout the given network.
In the fourth step, the virtualization includes the security, scalability and the managing
availability. The networking and the isolation of Microsoft virtualization are deployed
(Zhang, Li & Zheng, 2013). The virtualization supports the scalability and the flexibility for
providing the customized desktop of the user.
Organization’s Preparedness for the Virtualization
The Virtualization technology is the main aspect of IT because of the compelling
stories of the ROI (Return on investment), application flexibility and capabilities of rapid

provisioning (Sweeney, 2016). Focus on the server virtualization provides many consolidate
benefits to the server of the network and storage. Virtualization technology reduces the
acquisition cost of IT potentially and maintaining cost as well. This technology facilitates the
strategies of disaster recovery and it supports the vital migration of the data or information.
However, the end users are dissatisfied with the value propositions recently such as the
clients, who implement the virtualization technology, cannot often quantify the number of
ROI as they expect. In various ways, the finding management of environment of
virtualization are more complex.
Microsoft Licensing of Virtualized Environments
The clients are licensed for running many instances of Windows Server OS using the
virtualization technology on the licensed server Windows Server 2003 RS Enterprise. The
physical server is licensed for the Enterprise Edition of the Microsoft License, which can add
more four instances of the Windows Server in the Virtualization technology with no extra
cost (Huh & Seo, 2016). On other hand, this can be happened in a particular server for the
Datacenter Edition. Policies of Microsoft licensing are related to the environment of
virtualization technology that is applied to the Microsoft server and VMware both in any
service. The users using the Datacenter Edition and Enterprise realize any Operating System
licensing and that needs to be realized by the users of VMware as well.
The major number of users of the organization run the Windows Server 2003 RS
Standard Edition or Web Edition and that will remain unaffected and the policies will server
no benefit. The users of the organization can realize the cost savings of using the VMware
virtualization or Microsoft virtualization technology.

Shared Storage Considerations
SAN (Storage Area Network) is the flexible and shared storage platform. Media LLC
have leveraged and realized the ease and the economic benefits of the SAN utilizing the
iSCSI protocol and Ethernet infrastructure (Tate, Beck, Ibarra, Kumaravel & Miklas, 2018).
The deployment of iSCSI SAN allows the administrators of Media LLC to leverage
equipment, knowledge and cabling. For increasing the scalability and flexibility of the disk-
based virtualization storage, it is essential to utilize the solution of network storage in the
alternative server. The option for network is usable range from the file-based protocol of NFS
that connected to the Ethernet to the block-based iSCSI (Caulfield & Swanson, 2013). The
SAN-based platform is chosen by the organization for virtualization as it provides robust
scalability and performance.
Virtualization Management Considerations
The management consideration of the Virtualization interacts with the underlying
physical hardware and the virtual environment for simplifying the enhance data analysis;
streamline operations and resource of administration. The system administrator can handle
the virtual machines on the single workstation. The virtualization management helps the
system of the organization to be successful. The virtual machines are provisioned while the
installation of hypervisor and instruct the software.
Provisioning: Configuring the virtual machines, creating templates and processing
request for resources
Compliance: Identifying the issues, monitoring system, securing system and validate
the access of the users.

Windows Azure Cloud Services as IaaS
Microsoft Azure is the cloud provider that offers the range of storage and service for
application. This service included with the IaaS (Infrastructure as a service). In the
deployment of IaaS, the fundamental unit of Azure computes the resources in virtual
machines (Sadiku, Musa & Momoh, 2014). The user of Azure can use this in the “general
purpose” Linux VM or Windows. With the Azure, the IT developer can more successful and
productive. The managed service, ore-built templates and integrated tools manage the
enterprise, internet and web using the skills of the technology that the staffs of that
organization have.
Why Media LLC Should Consider Windows Azure
Windows Azure is the expanding set of the cloud service, which helps the
organization in meeting the business challenges. It provides the freedom to deploy, manage
and build the applications on the global network using the framework. Continuous innovation
from the Windows Azure supports the development of the service of the organization. With
the commitment to the support and open source for all the frameworks that the organization
wants to deploy. On-premises, in cloud server, it manages and integrates the environment
with the designed services for the hybrid cloud. It provides adequate security managed by the
expert and the proactive compliance trusted by the startups, government and enterprises.

Conclusion
Since the Media LLC is investing in the IT technology to upgrade and eliminate the
risks, the deployment of Windows Azure can make an opportunity for considering the
virtualization technology of the physical Datacenter into the virtual computing resources.
Therefore, this can be concluded that Windows Azure is the viable solution for Media LLC
for providing the virtualization engine, which will power the components of virtualization.
Azure can help to create Media LLC a private cloud that will enable the on-demand
provisioning of the system.
