Ma, 2019). He was born on 10th September 1964 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. Jack Ma is one
of those person who have stared the digital wallet services in Hong Kong where he had done the
partnership with Li Ka-shing. He has also started his career in Film industry with short movie
called as Gong Shou Dao. Jack Ma is one behind the successful journey of Alibaba Group as he
always come up with some of the great idea so that his company can achieve desire goal easily.
Problem faced by Jack Ma Yun
It is never easy for any person to achieve success in there initial stage as different kinds
of problem are required to be faced and the reason behind all those thing is lack of knowledge
and experience. In context of Jack Ma, he is one of those person who have faced various kind of
problem in his life and it was not easy for his to face all those challenges at a time. The starting
of all this problem starts from the schools day were he was one of that person who failed many
of the exams at a time. Even he was rejected from Harvard for 10 time which is also one of the
surprising for the richest person of China. He has to suffer a lot in his life because he was unable
to get a better job after giving lots of interview. In the starting days of Alibaba, he was not able
to achieve success because company was suffering from heavy losses for first three years. The

reason behind all those failure was that Jack Ma was trying to expand his business in a great
speed which created lots of issues in his life. The problem become drastically so big that all of
the 18 partners of Alibaba Group started to think in their own ways which was one of the reason

It is never easy for any of the to turn around the things after facing lots of problems. It is
more crucial for Alibaba to come up with some of the important changes so that organisation can
perform well and for that they are required to choose the best alternate of Leadership style

leadership theory which can bring positive changes in the organisation through which various
benefits can be provided to the customers. For that Jack Ma Yun decided to bring Participative
leadership style where they start to take the help of their subordinates while taking any kind of
decision in the organisation. Here, company seeks the advices which are helpful for the
betterment of an association. Under this leadership style they tries to provide the best training
season to all the employee's who are working within the organisation. It is helpful because it
bring lots of positivity in the culture of a company through which decision taking is quite

It is crucial that how deal deal with the situation which arises in front of him as that is the
only way through which company can achieve its desire goal. And for this all, it is necessary that
leader must know that what are their strength and weakness because that plays the vital role in
any of the decision. Leader must try to find his strength in the beginning so that they can work as
per their strength. In context of Jack Ma, he is one of the most loveable and famous entrepreneur
in current scenario because he tries to backup his strength while taking any of the business
decision and that is the main reason why he is known as giant of e-commerce. Some of the
strength and weakness of Jack Ma are described below:
Strengths
 Thinking Creatively: The main strength that Jack have is that he think creatively and
different from other business person. He try to create a frame in which company is
required to work for attaining the goals which have been predetermined. His creative
thinking has always provided additional advantage to Alibaba and that is the reason that
company is very successful in current position (Shamir and Eilam-Shamir, 2018).
 Decision Making ability: It is said that decision making ability plays very important role
in any of the organisation. While talking about Jack Ma Yun, he have the ability to take
all those decision which are different from other and effective too. His most of the
decision are always provide extra advantage to the company.

 Working Ethically: Jack Ma is among those rear person who always tries to work
ethically where he tries to give his time, efforts and skills to the organisation so that his
association can improve at greater platform. He always tries to work 12 hour a day in
which he doesn't involves his personal life to professional life. He always set the great
example for everyone in which he says that while working for the company it is
necessary to ensure that any of the policies should not be harmful for the environment
and society (Lobo, 2015). Continuity even after a failure: There must be a mind set of every leader that they must
try to think creatively and keep updating themselves even after the failure on any of the
work. In terms of Jack Ma, he always thinks that how he can overcome the failure in life.
In early stage of his life, he had faced lot of failure still he didn't stopped to working on
those area where he has already though to work. After the failure, he always try to bring
new idea so that solution can be brought in future.
Weaknesses
 Slow Learner: Jack Ma has faced multiple number of failure in his life and the reason
behind that is slow learning. He don't have the ability to catch the things when
comparison is done. Because of this reason his some of the decision takes additional time
due to which other company takes advantage of it.
 Multitasking: It is very important that person should have the ability to do multitasking
but some of them do not have that feature and Jack Ma is also among one of them. He do
not have the ability where he can do more then one work at a time and because of that he
takes additional time for taking any of his decisions (Cragg and Spurgeon, 2016).
Recommendation
After seeing all the weaknesses and negative things which goes against Jack Ma and
Alibaba, it can be recommended that there are lots of things through which he can overcome
through his problem. The most important thing is that how he focus to his own work because that
matter the most. Some of the recommendation that can be given to Jack are listed below:
 He should try to go for those books through which he can understand those critical
situation through which he can learn the understand the situation as soon as possible. Ven
he must try to attain some of the counselling season which can help him to overcome
from the problem.

 He must think that how he can work on different project at a single time because that can
enhance his personal skill through which he and his both can be benefited.

leadership style in his organisation for enhancing the productivity of employees. Also there are
