willingness and desire to do something. ... In the world of business and management,motivation
has a specific meaning. It is all about the factors that encourage individuals to be continually
committed and interested in their jobs.
This report will cover the case study of TECO company which has announced to open
their new discount store “ Jack “ compare some of the competitors such as Aldi and Lidi
groups. Their aim is to provide less price products to the customer and this competitive
pricing will helps them to take competitive advantages. Their major focus will be their
employees motivation, and they want to make sure their employees are highly motivated to
work in the TESCO's Jack store. This will help them, to achieve their goals and growth in the
market.

Importance of motivation at the workplace
Motivation in the employees plays important roles for the company to take competitive
advantages. They give their best toward the work and help to achieve goals and objectives of
the company (Rudolph., 2016). It will be beneficial for the TESCIO company if they will focus
to motivate their employees because employees are the most important part of the company, and
they are responsible to run organizational activities. Employees from the TESCO will work in
the new stores which can be demotivate them, and they can lose their efficiency in the work.
Providing them motivation will give them a support, and they will work for the company
effectively. They will give their best to achieve the goals of the company. Motivation in the
employees of the JACK stores will allows management to meet the company's goals. Without
motivated workplace, companies could be placed in a very risky position. Motivated employees
can lead to increased productivity and allow an organization to achieve higher levels of output..
If an individual is motivated, he will have job satisfaction. Motivation will help in self-
development of individual. An individual would always gain by working with a dynamic team
and support of the others which will increase their efficiency of the work, and they can give
their best to achieve task goals and it will beneficial for the TESCO Discount stores to show
their presence in the market and gain competitive advantages.

Vroom's expectancy theory. This theories can be useful for the TESCO company for their Jack
Stores.
1) Maslow's motivational theory
Physiological needs
There are some needs required for the human survival such as Air, water. Cloths and
sleep (Camaj., 2019). It is important for the superiors of the Jack stores to provide their
employees proper breaks for their food, rest etc so they can work with full efficiency.
Safety Needs
As a manager, you can account for the safety needs of your employees by providing safe
working conditions, secure compensation (such as a salary) and job security, which is especially
important in a bad economy.
Social needs
Social need such as spending time with the family, fends etc are the humans personal and
social needs so Managers of the Jack stores can provide proper lives, so they can spend some
times with their family and friends. This will motivate them a bring new energy ton work.
Esteem needs
Employees are also human, and they also deserve to get respect so company's superiors
should behave nice with their employees and communicate with them, so they can share their
problems with them. This interaction will help to motivate them.
