INTRODUCTION
Globalisation is determined as valuable part of growth and success of an organisation
which allows them to integrate with other nations through expanding its business at global level.
The main objective of an organisation behind globalising its business is to capture huge market
share and establish its brand image at global level but it may difficult for company due to having
strong impact of economic, cultural and ethical factors on the different business functions within
an organisation. Globalisation increases competition in market which increases the demand of
using advanced technologies to compete with each other. This can be possible with an adequate
support of HR, Marketing, Operation and accounting departments which assist an organisation to
globalise their business. The present assignment report is based on Jaguar company which is
engaged in providing luxurious and expensive cars across worldwide. The report includes project
aims and objectives, project management plan, qualitative and quantitative research,
performance review and self-assessment.
1. Economic Impact: Globalisation makes positive impact on the stability and growth of
economy of UK. For an instance, maximising rivalry in market due to globalisation
increases the implementation of advanced technology especially by new business
entering at global level.
2. Cultural Impact: On the other hand, cultural factors gets also positively affected by
globalisation in terms of recruiting employees on the basis of their skills instead of
differentiating their culture. It enables an opportunity to familiar with different culture so
as deal with them accordingly.
3. Ethical Impact: Another affected factor is ethics which determine the judgement of an
individual towards right and wrong. Decisions of providing welfare services which can
maximise the interest of community as a whole. For example, Corporate social
responsibility and ethical behaviours makes positive impact on globalisation of business.
Background of the Research
Jaguar is one of the largest vehicle brand of Jaguar Land Rover which is a UK-based
company engaging in providing luxurious and expensive cars with standard services and

advanced technologies. Jaguar company manufactures the Jaguar cars until its operations were
wholly merged with the Land Rover in the year 2013. As with an objective of capturing huge
market share and reach their brand image at global level, the company decided to expand its
business operations at international level due to which it may affect from various factors such as
cultural, economical and ethical either in positive way (Adzic, 2011). It largely affects their
decision of expansion due to which it is important for management to analyse their positive
impact on different business functions such as marketing, operation, HR and accounting so as to
make decisions accordingly. It can be further understood as under:
Operations: Expansion of business at global level consisting of several transactions
which are required to made. This will be possible through recording each transactions in books
of accounts with the help of operation manager so that it will help in analysing the total expenses
already incurred by company during expansion.
Marketing: It is an important functions which get affected while expansion of business at
global level. It increasing the possibilities of generating important economies of scale by
standardizing operational marketing and in communication so as to deal with people having
different cultures and ethics (Boserup, Tan and Toulmin, 2013).
Human Resource: It is another important function of Jaguar company which is essential
to perform. During expansion of business, company requires more skilled workforce which can
be possible through HR department. Thus, the impact of globalisation makes huge impact on
HRM. For this, HR manager need to adapt their practices of recruiting and training workforce
considering foreign regulations, cultural differences and technological advancement.
Accounting: It is related with maintain financial record through storing information of
each financial transactions at one place using various methods such as MIS. Globalisation affect
the harmonisation of audit standards, financial services, and reporting. Globalising business
increases transactions of company which must be recorded by the accounting manager so as to
facilitate Jaguar company in identifying cash inflow and outflow (Coker, 2014).

management need to make research first in order to
