INTRODUCTION
Global business environment refers to environment in different countries where the
business operates which influences the decision making on the use of resources and its
capabilities. Jaguar is multinational luxury vehicle brand which is being based out of UK.
Present report will address to SWOT analysis of the chooses company and will assess the
operational impact on any two functional areas.
MAIN BODY
SWOT ANALYSIS
It will highlight upon various strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats which
affects the business functioning in various business dynamics.
STRENGTHS –
The strength of the company lies with its offering of high product quality, strong global
brand value with its global presence all across the globe and which gives the outlook for the
culture that has identity which is being prestigious and rich in nature. Its biggest strength is its
popular image of the brand which is being supported with the popular luxury brands as the
company has tied- ups and acquired brands that have favourable and positive brand image that
helps in attracting large customers and as a result boost up the sales figures. The company has
also accounted with the upgraded channels of distribution in emerging economies which helps in
ensuring availability of its luxurious products all across the world (Abdel-Basset, Mohamed,
Smarandache, 2018). It also accounts with decent, crisp and good advertising which serves as the
means of what Jaguar needs to communicate. The company also invest good amount of money
in research and development activities which helps in understanding about the customers
requirements.
WEAKNESSES
It lies with the company limited range of its products as compared to its competitors
which gives customers choices to select with the products of the competitors which leads to
hindering market share of the company in terms of customer acquisitions as a result affect
profitability and sales revenue of the company (Vlados, 2019). Its weaknesses also arrived when
the company was being acquired with the Tata group , it leads to various cost cutting in business

operations which as result lead to various issues with labour unions as result affected there
productivity and in turn affected the goals to get accomplished.
OPPORTUNITIES
There are being various opportunities that lies with the company as company can target
launching its vehicles in emerging economies such as India and various others apart from Europe
and USA. Its opportunities also lies in launching vehicles that are at an affordable price which
serves and caters needs and wants of middle class audience which will help the company to
expand its market share and accounts to building positive brand image in minds of target
customers and in turn helps the company tom expand its product range where its weaknesses can
be easily converted into its strength (Phadermrod, Crowder, Wills, 2019). Its opportunities
also lies in SUV segments where in the company can expand from manufacturing Sedan class to
above mentioned which will helps to get in markets that are being untapped.
THREATS
Its threat lies with its competitions in international auto mobile luxury brands who can
any-day come up with policies and manufacturing of that cars which will result in loss of market
share. It also lies with huge dependency of government policies, rise in fuel prices, financial
instability which causes audience not to purchase premium models of the company leading to
affect the company's profitability and sales revenue in unfavourable manner (Sarsby,2016).
Impact on two functional areas.
The two functional areas used for the above analysis are HRM and marketing.
HRM- to be the brand which is being prestigious and which manufacture vehicle that serves as
status symbol for the customer who purchase the same and by which it helps the company to
build positive brand image, it impacts on human resource as it helps in hiring, recruiting,
selecting and on- boarding employees who are being then trained, developed in manner which
helps in achieving business goals, as this qualified individual being hired possesses relevant
skills, knowledge and various relevant attributes which serves as the means of getting valuable
insights about the customer requirements and helps the company to manufacture vehicles that
satisfy the needs and wants of the customer or can be by making relevant improvements in the
existing ones which caters to getting need being served effectively. It helps in getting to know
where the company is lacking in terms of maintaining customer relationship which serves as the

foundation of weaknesses of the company and give rise to various others which affects the
business functioning in unfavourable manner . To serves as the strength of upgrading its
distribution channel all across the globe and emerging economies it requires giving training to
employees in a manner which supports the business goals and helps in making its vehicles reach
towards different regions (Secapramana, Nugroho, 2017). By hiring and having qualified
employees it helps in meeting with the threat of competition as this become the backbone of the
company that supports company in all odds and helps in facing various business dynamics
whereby it gives strength to the company to be competitive in the marketplace.
MARKETING--
To support the opportunity of the company to launch its products in emerging economies
it requires marketing professionals to communicate the benefits of company vehicles and how
and at what grounds they serve the need and wants of its customers more prominently as
compared to its competitors. By its marketing it helps in knowing opportunities for the company
where it can expand its business and which will serve as profitable to the company in various
terms of new customer acquisitions with new products launch or with the existing products. By
this the company get and aided advantage to serve and be the fist to reach customers and get to
know where the company is lacking and by which it gets valuable alternatives for problem
solving and building brand image (Omer, 2019). This serve as company strength as by proper
marketing it ensures to generate customer loyalty which helps in building trust towards the
company and gets to spread positive word of mouth which helps in effective communication of
what is being required to be conveyed on the part of company and helps in assessing post
purchase behaviour by addressing to various reviews from the customers.
CONCLUSION
From the above report its is being understood that there are various factors which affect
the business functioning in terms of acquiring market share and the business is uncertain to
various changes. The above report focused on SWOT analysis of the company and have
examined the ways in which key drivers affect functional areas such as human resource and
marketing.
