INTRODUCTION
Business environment has been determined as the internal and external environment of
the business. The business gets affected due to the internal and external factors and therefore, it
is highly important to study the business environment in proper manner so, the negative impact
of the factors can be reduced (Cherunilam, 2021). The current assessment is based on the JD
sports; the company is British sports fashion retail company which is established in UK. The
report will provide the information about the sub-sectors and the different types of the
organization, growth of the international business environment and the market size. Along with
this, report will shed a light of the fact sheet of the selected business and relationship between the
interrelationship of the departments. Furthermore, different business structure will be described.
MAIN BODY
Sub-sectors and the type of organization
The sports industry is mainly concerned with the three type of organizational sectors
which are- public, non-profit and commercial. There are sub-sectors has been created within
sports industry which varied the organization in form of their operations. It has been found from
various studies that, sports industry is parted in different sector and the functions of the sports
organization is based upon that. Here are the major types of sub-sector
Public sector
This are those sports organization which has been supported and owned by the
government. The government assure keen focus over these organizations for creating a better
sport environment for the public. Government provides sports facilities to the public such as-
recreation of the centres, park spaces and grounds (Jacob, 2019). The JD sports is the public
limited company and therefore, it falls under the category of public sector. The sports recreation
programme has been developed by the organization that can provide opportunity to the people
for taking part in sports.
Non-profit sector
Non-profit sector has been determined as that sector which focus on the betterment of
society rather than making profit (Nguye, 2019). The non-profit sports organization supports the
committee in terms of learning about the sports rather than making profits. The international,
national and local level of sports organization comes under this. As these organizations launch

Olympics in which the members of society can take part and gain about the knowledge of sports.
Thus, non-profit organization are aligned with the major objective in which creating better place
for people who are living in society within performing the operations. Their prior focus is over
the development rather than earning money. In similar manner, sports organizations that comes
under the non-profit organizations focuses on the enhancing the knowledge related to sports in
the people rather than earning money through the sports.
Commercial sector
This sector is consisting of those organization that focuses on making the profit. The
prior focus is to made profit. The sports products have been developed by such organization that
can be used and wear while playing sports (Höglund, Mårtensson and Safari, 2018). These
organizations create support for the sports industry within developing the products that can
provide support to the people while playing sports. The major role of these types of organization
is to influence the sports within performing sponsorship.

Background of the organization
JD sport is established in UK; it is the sports retail public limited company. The company was
established in 1981 by two people who were- John Wardle and David Makin. The organization
perform the major operations within dealing in the clothing and sportswear accessories. There are
numerous stores of JD sports which has been opened and providing effective services in UK.
From the year 1996, the company has started operating in the 56 stores. Currently, the
organization is one of the leading sports retailing company which is providing quality products
and services to the numerous customers.
Products and services of organization
The products and services which is being offered by the JD sports are concerned with the
sportswear. The organization has opened up gyms as well and. There are wide range of sports
products has been offered by the company that is assuring satisfaction to the numerous people.
The company is focusing on its expansion so, the large market share can be grab and consumer
base of the organization can be increased (JD Sports Fashion Plc, 2020). Thus, it can be said that
organization is highly active in terms of providing complete satisfaction to their customers.
Size and scope

promotion within approaching the influencers. This will enable organization to get the success.
The organizational and legal structure
JD Sports is the fashion public limited company that consist PLC. In accordance with the
company law od UK, it has been determined as the limited company which approaches general
public so, they can buy shares of the company. The organization is consisting of three different
separate entities and the company is listed in the London stock exchange that states that
organization is one of the leading company.
Stakeholder analysis
The stakeholders of the JD sports are the people who works for the better outcomes of the
business. The internal stakeholders of JD sports are employees and managers who perform their
duties in order to create effective outcomes. The external stakeholders of the JD sports are-
government, shareholders, consumers, environment and community group. Thus, these are the
main stakeholders of the organization which can impact the outcomes of the organization

Analysing the ways in which internal departments work together in order to meet business
objectives
The internal department in the organization refers to the financial, marketing, sales, HR
and operational department. These are the internal department which works for the betterment of
the organization, it is highly mandatory that all of these department coordinates with each other
as it helps in providing the effective outcomes (Oh, Sandhu and Zhang, 2018). It has been found
from the various studies, that in JD sports, the internal department coordinated with each other
and perform their functions. All the departments are linked with each other and therefore, it is
highly important to support the department. The marketing department of the JD sports analyse

the market and collect the information in regards to the demand of the customers. Afterwards,
the information is being passed to the operational department and on the basis of the gathered
information the operational department starts the production.
The operational department is further depending upon the finance department, the finance
department arranges the fund and with the help of that, operations is being performed. The HR
department recruits the employees and workers who works in the organization and helps in
performing the major duties. The HR department plays the vital role as the workforce is being
recruited by the HR department. When the production has been done in the organization then,
contact from the sales department has been done and then, sales department focuses on
increasing the sales of the company (Huang, 2020). The marketing department makes
coordination with the sales department so, the sales can be increased. Promotion of the products
has been done so, large number of customers can make purchase and organization can grab the
benefit. Thus, in this manner when internal department works with each other then, work can be
carried in smooth manner. Therefore, it is important for organization that they must develop
effective interaction between the internal department. JD sports has been proven effective in
creating coordination between the department and therefore, the work has been carried in smooth
manner in the organization.
Identifying the different business structure and interrelationships between internal departments
Thus, it has been analysed with the discussion that, JD sports have been proven highly
efficient in managing the collaborative environment in the organization between the internal
department. All the department connects with each other and provides mandatory information to
each other that helps in smooth running of the business. The business structure of JD SOPRTS is
public limited company (Trost, 2020). This means company offers its shares to the general public
and provides them part in the over-all capital of the organization. As the organization is large
therefore, it is important for them to connect in effective manner with each other. In case, the
departments do not create effective coordination with each other then, it results in creating large
number of issues for the organization and this directly impacts the growth and success of the
organization (Leuering, 2021).
