1RESURRECTION OF JESUS
As per the opinion of Cullman, Christianity is separated from all other religions due to
the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. The apostolic Age has been attacking this concept
since ages. This is because, Jesus Christ’s identity had been confirmed as the incarnate Son of
God and the final sign of all the redemption, salvation and reconciliation. Many of the
researchers and the people who oppose Christ see the resurrection as the vindication of Christ
against his own enemies. Also the people who oppose the Church have pointed fingers at the
Disciples of Christ and also at the New Testament saying that by having suffered on the
cross,
Jesus Christ did bear all the sins of those whom he had come to save.
However, there have been arguments that those who preach Christianity as something
resurrection less, they have substituted the truth of resurrection for a lie. The New Testament
believes that the resurrection of Christ has been a necessary condition of the Christianity and
the Christian faith (Walker).
Thus based on the arguments, I agree to the fact that the entire Christian Church
stands on the historical resurrection of Jesus from the dead. This is because the Apostle Paul
makes it clear to the Corinthians that if there had been no resurrection of the dead, then Christ
would not have been raised. Resurrection of Christ is a hope for salvation for all his
Disciples and this is another reason to agree to the fact that Christianity is as a result of
Resurrection of Christ from dead.
