Introduction
The requirement of the software in any industry for the purpose of making the product successful
is considered to be one of the main and important task. Hence this report helps in detailing the
layout of the software that can help in producing and defining the scope of the project in the CPB
contractor’s Pty ltd. This report would help in specifying the different functional and the non-
functional requirements of the software that leads to the development and achievement of goal
for the company (Binder, 2016). This is seen that RSR specifies the suitable workflow plans,
performance metrics and various other elements that can helps in designing the project
management needs of the CPB contractors in Australia and across the globe. Hence the
document is based on the action plan that would help in evaluating the software and making it
according the clients requirements.
Overview
Weconstruct is considered to be the software that CPB contractors is supposed to be using which
is considered to be custom web managed construction software that helps in managing the
construction issues in the company. This helps in mitigating the issues that are encountered by
the company. This is seen that as the company has to provide the 3D image to the clients and
hence for this purpose the software should be flexible to build a project in this case (Gilbert, et.
al., 2015). Also this should showcase the progress report to the client about how the construction
would look like and the future projections of the project would also help in encountering the
issues. Hence the product that is being developed helps the company to achieve the advantage of
getting all the support that they needs from this software such as the integrated project
management software’s. The software would be highly feature loaded where it can also collect
the pictures online through any mode and integrate it into the project that is being developed for
this purpose (Li, et. al., 2015). Also the software would have the special feature where it would
be able to send the notification for any changes that are required on the site and the construction
process immediately if noticed any mistake in the project development.
Requirements
For the purpose of the development of the software this is seen that various requirements are
there that should be taken into consideration before entering the scope of development. Some of
the requirements includes the following:

Functional requirement
For the purpose of developing this high class software this is seen that there is a functional
requirement of objects related to the development of the software which includes,
 Image capturing sources
Title: Here the capturing of the image and uploading it in the database is required
Description: For this purpose the image should be captured by the employee of the
company through any medium and it should be sent to the software data management
base.
Rational: The purposes this is to get the real time based project report.
 Easily transferable
Title: the product must be easily transferable to the desired location
Description: the image capturing source must be easily movable to the desired location
for the purpose of getting the information.
Rational: achieving the live pictures of the project
 Geo tagging
Title: Making the geo tagging of the device
Description: the picture should be captured in the software where the pictures get
automatically tag to the desired location for this purpose of construction
Rational: for the purpose of the getting the location of the picture and there live
performance
 Making the connection between the API
Title: API connection
Description: The picture from where it is captured and being uploaded must connect to
the device through which the picture is being sent. The information of the location must
be communicated for this purpose.
Rational: For the purpose of knowing the location of the picture that is taken.
 Management of the user

Description: the user management must be done for this purpose and the administration
of the user management. This would contain the addition of the user, removal of the user,
disabling the user for the particular period and making change in the details of the users.
Rational: the access would be granted to the chief and he can make the management of
the users.
 Types of users

Description: The usre type must be defined by the company management. This would
include the following, Project manager, users, administrators, general managers, etc.
Rational: this helps in defining the type of user and their function and access to the data.
 Project viewing rights

Description: the project manager should have the access to view the project and is also
able to check the overall progress of the project through this.
Rational: To get the information on the ongoing project and its progress.
 Generation of the report

Description: The manager of the project should be able to generate the project
information and its report.
Rational: To view the overall project information and to compare it accordingly.
 Customisation of the view
Title: custom view
Description: to view the project and to customize the project task according to the
category. This should include the start date of the project and the end date of the project,
timeline of the project and the Gantt chart preparation method which specifies the time
for each activity that is being done for the purpose of the project.
Rational: To set the timeline for the project
 Report generation
Title: Generation of the report

Description: the project manager should be able to generate the report of the current
progress of the construction.
Rational: to get the actual report of the construction site.
 View task of the employees
Title: the manager of the company should be able to view the taks of the employees of
the company
Description: The manager must be able to view the task for the each employee of the
company.
Rational: To seek the information on the task that is required to be performed for this
purpose.
 Reminder of the task
Title: reminder for the task
Description: the system must include the giving up of the reminder for the particular task.
The reminder must be based on the various terms which includes, start date of the project,
if the task is finished, end date of the project or any change in the task of the project.
Rational: To get the notification of the project
Also there are various other function which are required to be performed by the company so as to
make the software fully functional these includes,
 Security: the software must have the security for which includes the password protection
so that no other person is able to check the details or the data that is available on the user
dashboard. Also there would be requirement of changing the password of the dashboard
in every 50 day. Also the data that is stored on the online platform must be secured with
the cloud based storage option and must have the encryption for the purpose of security
issues.
 Performance: the software must be able to work as per the required objectives and this is
seen that they are able to provide the service at the service level agreement and as per the
industrial norms (Noe, et. al., 2017).
 Reliability: The software that is being prepared is able to handle at least 200 users at a
time. The backup is running 24*7 hrs which protects the loss of the information and the
keeps track on the activities of the users of the data.
 Hardware requirements: there should be requirement of

o Quad core processor which must be running at 2.2Ghz clock speed
o The space must be around 128 GB
o Ram management must be 12GB
o Bandwidth speed of 1Gbps
o GPS system for accessing location
o Network option and SMS functionality
Software development plan
For the purpose of development of the project the waterfall model would be used where the
analysis would be done for this purpose of the study.
The analysis of the client’s requirement would be done and through this the design would be
maintained to meet the needs of the clients (Putra, Ahlan and Kartiwi, 2016). The process would
be done in the manner that they are able to maximise the performance.

Here the performance of the project would be done which would include the various elements
and their audit.
 Cycle time: this includes the time taken to make the changes in the system so as to make
the changes into the production.
 Lead time: this includes the time taken for the preparation of the idea and making it
deliver in form of software.
 Security check: this includes the how the endpoints helps in protecting the software
through the virus that may want to enter into the system.
Business continuity plan
The roll out of the software for the company and its effective communication is considered to be
one of the most important form which helps in giving the best in class performance for the

construction company (Turkulainen, et. al., 2015). After this the implementation the company
would be able to give most affordable service to the users and the customers of the company.
Also the constant upgrade would be given to the plan and the software which helps in carrying
out the feedback and the continuous advancement of the technology of the company.
Conclusion
From the above report this is seen that the development of the project is based on the guidance
that is given by the company. This helps in making the customisable construction projects. This
will help the company to get the best result and the desired outcomes. Hence through this the
company would be able to make the best in class products that would help them in achieving
required goals of the company.
