INTRODUCTION
Effective communication means the methods of communicating effectively with other
people of the organization. For Example – when an individual is communicating something,
other person is effectively listening to it and understands it (Ahmad, 2016). The Report will
outline the reflection with the help of Driscoll's model of reflection the job experience of a lorry
driver working from past 7 years.
MAIN BODY
PART A
1) What? Description of the situation or event
The purpose ? The purpose is to deliver different types of
products that are manufactured by the
organization to the customers that are living at
different locations. My job is to drive the lorry
and deliver the goods that are ordered by the
clients at right place on right time and of right
value.
What happened in the event ? When goods are to be delivered to the
customers. The workers of the company has
loaded the goods in the lorry and then I drive
the vehicle and reach at the location where I
have to deliver goods. At the time of unloading
the goods, I have found that goods are not in
proper condition.
What did I see during event ? During unloading the products for offering to
the customers such as retailers and for home
delivery to individual families I have realized
that, the packaging of the items is damaged due
to any reason which may due to the fault of
production team or the fault of management.

What was my reaction ? I got shocked after seeing that the packaging of
products got damaged due to irresponsible
behaviour of production team because this type
of event has not happened in last 7 years of my
job experience.
What did other people do who are involved in
this ?
The people to whom company offers its
products are very loyal towards the company
(Yildiz, 2017). They get disappointed because
the target segment of buyers have not expected
such type of behaviour from the company.
How did they react ? The customers asked me that company should
have to refund the advance money that have
been paid at the time of placing order for
purchasing items.
2) So what ? Analyse the Event
How did I feel at the time of event ? After reaching back to the company, first of all
I have communicated this event to the
management of the company. I have expected
that, management takes action, but they do not
take any action against production team.
Were those feelings I had different from people
who are involved ?
While communicating this event to
management, there is no reaction of the
manager of the company in respect of the
event. It looks like they do not feel any regret.
Are the feelings now after the event are
different ?
Yes, my feelings in respect of management got
changed as I thought that, they will take action
but, reality is different from what I have
expected.
Do I still feel troubled ? Yes, I feel troubled because management does

not take any action, and I am confused what
action I should take that whether to continue or

organization has observed the process of
communication when I have communicated the
details of the event. They help me to reflect on
my job.

What are the implications for others and me ? The implication on the employee’s is that, they
will also not like to continue their work in such
type of organization. Further, it will negatively
affect the performance of company (Smith,
2016). It will also affect my job in the
organization.
Will it make a difference If, I choose to do Yes, the customers may think that I also don't

nothing ? respect them in case I have not communicated
the matter to management.
Where can I get information from if I were to
face similar situation again ?
If I have to face similar situation in the future, I
can collect information from the workers that
are working in production department of the
company.
Do I need help to support me to action results
of my reflection ?
I may obtain help from workers who have see
the whole matter.
Which aspects should be addressed ? I should consider on my level of
communication skills as, I should communicate
this matter to top management of the firm.
How will I know that I am different in
practice ?
I know that I am different in my job as I have
does not keep the incident secret and I have
communicated it to the management.
What is the major learning I can take from
reflecting on my job ?
One of the major learning I can take from
reflecting on my job is that, one of the most
important thing for the organization is ethical
practice that helps to maintain better
relationship with customers.
CONCLUSION
From the above Essay it has been concluded that, the job is about delivering products to
the customers at different locations. After reflecting the experience, I felt that, management has
done wrong by not taking any action against the damage packaging of the products against
production team (Golaghaie and et.al, 2019). Further, effective communication skills is
important for communicating a specific event to other people.
