Under this report the research question is “What is the Influence of Job Insecurity on
employees in UK?”. It is a serious issue and main work- related stressor that impact on work of
staff members. According to my point of view, Job insecurity is related to overall concern
regarding continued existence of job in future. It impact negatively on mental health of workers
in United Kingdom because there is more financial pressure on staff members with high living
cost as well as stagnant wages. In United Kingdom, two-third of workforce have fear of insecure
employment and it impact on their family life as well a health. Under this, in United Kingdom
economic insecurity has become “new normal” with around 70% of working population of
“broke chronically”. On the other hand, workers feels less secure and also more pressurized at
work because of the job insecurity. On the basis of report, 32% of workers of United Kingdom
have less than the £500 in total savings and 41% have less than £1000.
b) AN EXPLANATION OF YOUR INTERbEST IN THIS TOPIC
This report taken in to consideration on Job Insecurity in United Kingdom. My interest
arise in selecting this topic because it is a major issue that people of United Kingdom mainly
face. Job insecurity is not good and it negatively impact on their living standards. On the other
hand, I am very curious to know about the main reason behind arising the job insecurity in
United Kingdom. Job insecurity also develop its impact on economy of country. If people will be
unemployed then they can not earn and through this economy can not be enhanced. With the
help of this investigation, my research skills along with the knowledge can be enhanced in a
proper manner. It will help in future to conduct an investigation on any specific research area.
The main reason behind developing my interest in Job Insecurity topic is to examine it in wider
sense and its impact on organisation and economy.

c) AN OUTLINE OF THE SIGNIFICANCE OF YOUR RESEARCH
This current investigation put an emphasis on an Influence of Job Insecurity on
employees in UK. This study help me in provide the information about job insecurity as well as
reason behind this in detailed manner (Gallie and et. al., 2017). It can be related to reduction of
staff members because of financial savings, changing the work practices, mergers and
acquisitions, outsourcing the positions which occurs as firm seek to remain more competitive and
restructuring (Huang and et. al., 2013). In addition to this, this study will help me to know about
the main factors related to Job insecurity of employee in order to which identify its actual impact
upon personal as well as professional life of employees that means standard of living, work
performance, their productivity. Along with this, it will also explore about the impact of job
insecurity of employee upon economy of United Kingdom (Landsbergis, Grzywacz and
LaMontagne, 2014).
In addition to this, current investigation will assures me in order to provide the accurate
as well as reliable data about the Influence of Job Insecurity on employees in UK (Schreurs
and et. al., 2012). It will prove to be more effective for the other scholars in order to conduct
same kind of study and also helps to draw the valid conclusion (Tweedie, 2013).
