Job involvement plays a significant role in raising employee performance in the
business enterprise. From business perspective, it is the key to unlock the workforce
motivation and raising productivity. From the perspectives of individual, it helps in
personal growth and motivation.
Job-involved individuals find their work more exciting and they employ variety of
skills for the completion of the task (Bhatti and Qureshi, 2007). This not only
develops positive relationship with the superiors but also helps employee to get
positive feedback, which is important for the motivation.
In terms of positive organizational outcomes, a business firm can achieve a key
competitive advantage in the market in relation to psychological climate and human
resource policies and practices (Thomas, Zolin and Hartman, 2009). As per the
psychological climate, it is related to the business environment that is perceived by
their employee. Psychological climate also has two dimensions that are strongly
connected with job involvement and psychological safety and meaningfulness. It is
ascertained that employee perception of the workplace as being psychologically safe
and meaningful tends to the job involvement and employee effort. Human resource
policies and practices concrete on policies and actions of the business enterprise with
respect to their employees.
In conclusion, it can be said that job involvement results from variances in people
predispositions and also from business characteristics. This makes the management of
the business enterprise to promote job involvement by recruiting right people,
incorporating effective psychological climate. All these practices can give the
company to unlock the key to competitive sustainable advantage.

enhance the performance in their business and this will not only give more
satisfaction to the employees but also stimulate employee to do more work for the
organization. Job involvement focuses on the creative task performing ability of the
individual by its subjective assessment. It is also called to be the base factor to get
constructive outcomes in linkage with creativity and better task performance
(Whitaker, Dahling and Levy, 2007). According to the research, there is a positive
correlation between job performance and job involvement. This implies that if the
employees are more involved with jobs then job performance will be satisfactory and
this will be better considering overall performance of the organization. It is also
ascertained that committed workers are always satisfied to be a part of the association
and feels for the well-being of the corporation. Moreover, employees are always keen
to improve their overall performance for enhancing the performance of their business
enterprise.
In 21st century, it is very important for the corporations to frame many strategies in
relation to the job involvement so as to bring number of employees committed
towards the organizations. From long-term perspective, both the aspects will be
beneficial for the organization in terms of employee satisfaction and profitability.
With rise in the employee productivity, the organization will also acquire number of
satisfied customers.
