This thesis investigates the factors influencing job satisfaction and its impact on employee retention within private companies in North Macedonia, specifically focusing on Skopje and Kumanovo. It reviews Herzberg's two-factor theory and discrepancy theory to understand the key elements affecting employee satisfaction, such as salary, organizational culture, leadership, and career development opportunities. The research employs quantitative analysis using SPSS to analyze survey data collected from employees, revealing correlations between job satisfaction and employee retention strategies, performance improvement, and overall organizational profitability. The findings emphasize the crucial role of human resource management in retaining experienced employees through effective practices and offer recommendations for improving employee retention rates in the North Macedonian private sector.
