Literature review on Theory of Job Search
According to the view point of Faggian, 2021, theory of job search is a theory which helps to
understand the process which is related top searching of job. Searching a suitable job in
accordance with the skills of an individual is not an easy task and require a lot of efforts engaged
in this process. This theory of job search uses various tools of sequential statistical decision
theory in order to assess the problem of workers they face in order to find a job in this localised
labour market. The process of searching a job is very costly and because of it the unemployed
workers needs to follow strategic approach to maximise the present value of their future returns.
In order to provide searching of job to an individual this theory provides forb two methods which
effectively helps an individual in their search of a suitable job. These two alternative methods are
search with the help of employment agency or random search by an individual.
According to the view point of above author, it recommends to encourage to random
search by an individual as it is beneficial because it would led to modification in overall
matching rate. This will help to reduce the intermediaries which are between employer and job
searcher and they are able to interact with each other directly. The maximised problem which is
faced by lots of job seeker is the cost of finding a job which they need to pay to the
intermediates. There are several models which said that there are several factors which affect the
searching of job (Wagner, 2020). The agents which are hired in order to find job are not
importantly find a job in a district only but they also finds them a job in another district. In order
to get a job distance is an important variant which is considered by an individual to join that job
role. Firstly, the job role has been considered by the candidate the salary offered to them, the
development they get from the provided role and the distance all these are the important factors
which are considered in order to accept the job. The author suggested to have a job role or search
or analysed I how to deal with any condition in order to get effective outcomes. This journey also
help to identify about the roles and responsibility of the marketing manager and I gained
experience. What are the strategies and planning is used by the marketing manager in order to

a job which has a good response for the employees in the organisation. The more motivated
employees in the organisation depicts the real efforts of them towards their employees. A
candidate can also take help of job employment companies if they can offer them a good as well
as effective job roles with a good salary. A theory of Job search has explained that it is very
essential to have an effective curriculum vitae in order to attain a good as well as deserving job.
A curriculum vitae is the first paper who help the job searcher to make employer know that the
person is searching for a job, it also helps to know that the various skills and knowledge a person
who applied have and according to the requirement of the company they have contact to the
candidates. In order to be engaged in a random search a person should apply in various
organisation with the help of their curriculum vitae. The curriculum vitae needs to be designed
in such a manner that it clearly describes the job applicant to the employer.
In order to perfectly understand the job search theory there are two questions which are needed
to be answered and that are
How does an individual job-seeker behave in such a setting?
Can this explain unemployment (duration)?
Both the questions helps to define this theory of job search as they help to consider the behaviour
of potential employers and taking for granting that imperfect data leads to a non-degenerate
dispersion of wages for consistent workers (Blotenberg and Richter, 2020). From all the above
reviews of author it has been said that the theory of job search has various steps which needs to
be followed by a job searcher. These theories have developed when there are not internet of
world as internet has not yet created at that time.
Process of Job search related to theory of job search
My process of searching a job is so related with the theory of job search (Sonu, Jawahar
and Saini, 2020). The theory of job search told us about the searching a job with the help of
either random search or with the help of employment agency. In order to attain this job I had
undergone with an internship in marketing field in which I have developed several skills which
are required for me for my future growth the theory of job search states to attain a job with
personal interaction between employer as well as job searcher and this has been made possible
by my college. The degree I attain from my college has attain a benefits of placement
opportunities from college only. I think it might be because of my skills and efforts I attain from
my experience in internship in which I had give my best that the TESCO company choose me as
employees in the organisation depicts the real efforts of them towards their employees. A
candidate can also take help of job employment companies if they can offer them a good as well

their marketing manager. TESCO is a company which deals in retail industry. They offer various
products to their customers which are related to the grocery and items. It has been ascertained
that from the internship process which has been completed by me in course of my graduation
process has provided me a lots of benefits. I has invested a lot in order to be capable of this
position which includes my education cost and cost I incurred during my internship. There are
various things which are covered in the theory of job search and is applicable in my life also. The
theory of job search also contain that the curriculum vitae should be prepared in such a manner
that is enough to make understand the employer to understand the qualities, skills and knowledge
which are acquired by the job searcher. Taking in mind this theory of job search I had prepared
by Curriculum Vitae accordingly (Karaoglu, Hargittai and Nguyen, 2021). I had mentioned
several skills that I attain during my internship programme and from my goals of life I had set to
achieve those skills and knowledge to excel in my life. All those skills are best suited for the job
role of marketing manager at TESCO and attain the job. It is my attractive and fully covered
curriculum vitae which helps the employer to know me better through the level of my knowledge
and skills in order search a job it is required to apply from an attractive curriculum vitae to
various organisations. In the process of job search curriculum vitae is the most important part of
this process.
The different steps based on this theory
The difference I have from the job search theory is that I had completed an internship
which is a part of my academic studies. The theory of job search has not included internship in it
which is a great process to be a part of an organisation for a limited period of time. As the
stipend pay at that time is low the organisations provide this internship to the students and this
internship helps them to get training and an understanding of business they are appointed as an
intern. I have been appointed as an intern in TESCO which helps me to understand the
operations of TESCO in detailed manner. The better understanding I have, helps me to be
appointed as a marketing manager at TESCO. The difference it has from the theory of job search
is that in job theory a job searcher needs to find the job from various sources and in this case the
job has been provided just after the internship process in the same company (Gerards and
Welters, 2020). I need not to find any job and got this job on the basis of my skills and
knowledge I attain from internship programme which has been provided by my college only. It
has been ascertained that I seek this job very differently which is not provided in theory of job
products to their customers which are related to the grocery and items. It has been ascertained

theory of job search. It is because this theory has been developed from traditional method at the
time when even internet has not introduced.
