Introduction
In this power point presentation a discussion on various resources from where
a person can find about the availability of job offers in their interest field is
discussed along with the advantages and disadvantages of each of the
resources. These resources are extensively used nowadays by candidates
so that they can find about vacancies that are present in companies where
they can apply for their personal and professional growth.

Facebook
It is an American online social media service
which helps in connecting the people
present in all the parts of the world. The
user needs to make an id on Facebook and
then they can follow the pages of various
companies in which they are interested so
that they can remain updated about the
upcoming vacancies in company.

Facebook is convenient and easy to use
and is being used by all the people and
companies.
The candidate cannot upload their
resume on the Facebook page.
Facebook links can help in knowing
about the job vacancies in various
companies.
It is a self search engine unlike other
sites where vacancies in companies
reflect on the profile of candidate.

Indeed
It is an American worldwide employment
related search engine which help the
candidates in knowing about millions of jobs
that are offered by various companies along
with other details like salary, job profile, job
timings etc. so that candidates can make
appropriate decision while choosing for a
job.

There is a slow response from the
employers when candidate apply for
jobs.
Jobs related to the interest and academic
background of person are shown on the

vacancies occur which in turn demand
money for selection.

LinkedIn
It is an American social networking sites which
help the candidates who are searching for
jobs by providing them information related to
vacancies that are present in different
companies. The candidate needs to make an
id on LinkedIn after which resumes can be
shared, contacts can be made and jobs in
their interested fields can be searched for.

LinkedIn helps in making contacts with
many people which help the candidate in
increasing the circle with similar interests.
The candidate needs to invest time so that
an attractive profile can be built which
help in attracting recruiters.
Jobs that are as per the interests of
candidate can be searched.
There is a huge traffic present on the
LinkedIn site which makes it difficult to
find jobs.

Conclusion
From this presentation it can be concluded that information about job
vacancies can be gained from various sites that are present online
which helps in increasing knowledge of the person seeking
information. These online sites although have some advantages and
disadvantages but are increasingly used for searching jobs.
