INTRODUCTION
Change and transformation have become a crucial part of business setting. It is essential to
provide creative as well as innovative products and services to customers. In the current report
Jobs International is taken into consideration that is UK based company (Angélil and Hebel,
2016). It was intuited by Mr Jacobs in London. It has started operation in India in 1998 in New
Delhi. Company has grow exponentially over the time and currently has nine regional office
across the country. It helps to provide international jobs to people of India and also has
association with several public and private companies of UK to provide them competent and
skilful international candidates. The current report is based on case study of Jobs international
(india) Ltd. Here, appropriate suggestions for Mr Jacobs to enhance business have been included
in report. In addition, it also comprises a derailed action plan along with obstacles and ways that
can be used to overcome. Moreover, it includes several recommendations for business owner of
respective company for further enhancement and betterment.
1.a) Recommendations to Mr Jacobs for further process
It is analyzed that Mr. Jacob is the major stakeholder and managing director of Jobs
international ltd. This company was stated by him in UK as a consultancy firm. In 1998, Mr
Jacobs entered into Indian market by establishing its first office in New Delhi. Here, the
company grow over time and now it has regional offices across the country. This organization
helps job seekers of India who are looking to get an international job (Dentoni, Waddell and
Waddock, 2017). On other side it also provides talented and competent employees to the firms of
UK. With the give case, it is stated that there are ample of changes have been take place in the
organizational structure of JI. Initially, Mr Jacobs worked as a managing director of company for
nearly three years. But, he needs to look overall business in other country such as LONDON. So,
deputy managing director who was an English man but spend a lot of time in India has been
appointed as MD of company. He was able to manage whole work in an efficient manner. Due to
some personal reasons he had to left company and moved back to UK. Then, an another English
lady who was relative of Mr Jacobs has been appointed on same position but not able to manage
whole work in an efficient manner. Company was not getting predefined results so Mr Jacob

decided to take a change readiness audit with the help of a consultant who gave ample of
suggestions for betterment of organization. However, I would like to give some suggestions in
order to bring appropriate changes within company. These recommendations are given as under:
However, Mr Jacobs is an experienced person but both of time he appointed English people
to manage company. Here, first managing director was able to manage employees activities in
significant manner. Because, he has spended significant time in India thus has familiarity with
the culture, values of country. But, another MD who was a lady was from UK and did not has
any idea about culture, environment of nation. So, to get success in India, it is essential to
appoint an Indian as Managing director. He will be able to put great impression on employees
that will reduce down conflicts, ambiguity at work place. It is also essential to manage
sentiments of work force in an efficient manner. Here, employees are more comfortable to work
under a person form their own country. In this situation, they can connect with managers
effectively that is crucial to maintain better relationship at work place.
The another recommendation is regarding organizational structure. Rather adopting a flat
organizational structure he needs to adopt hierarchal structure where roles and responsibilities of
each and every employee is clearly defined. It is analyzed that female MD preferred straight
forward talking to employees that was creating negative environment at work place. As per
Indian culture, people need someone at top level to manage, guide as well as control their work.
They are not open enough to take criticism. So, there is a requirement to make change in present
organizational structure as per the requirement and culture of the country in which they are
operating business.
It is stated that they were managing organization as per the culture prevailing in UK but
Indian culture is completely different. So, managers first need to analyze the environment
prevailing within country. For this, Mr Jacobs is required to take appropriate market research in
order to gather necessary information that will help to prepare effective strategies in order to
maintain positive environment at work place.
b) Obstacles along with the ways to overcome
Here, Mr Jacobs will face ample of difficulties and hardship to meet with the above
recommendations. It is analyzed that it is not easy for him to take decision to appoint an Indian
managing directors. He is not the only stakeholder of company. Parents of Jacobs have also
significant part of shareholding which provides them right to take part in decision making

process. Current MD who is a lady is one of the relative of Jacobs so it will be tough to get
consent from other stakeholder to replace her with some other Indian MD (Gonzalo, Wolpaw
and Wolpaw, 2018). In addition, he will be face hardships in making changes in existing
organizational structure of company. It is a way of female MD to manage work force. She used
to talk straight forward with employees. This attitude may lead negative feedbacks and criticism.
So, Jacobs will face ample of challenges and constraints to make necessary changes in existing
organizational structure. It is not easy to make all the changes in company as per Indian culture.
It needs higher time as well as cost.
There are a lot of ways by which Mr Jacobs can overcome with challenges. He can make
consent with other stakeholders in order to appoint new, competent managing director from
country. In addition, he can also analyzed the prevailing condition within company in order to
bring necessary changes in present organisational structure of organization. Further, they need to
provide necessary training and development to individuals related to the culture, values
prevailing in country in which they are operating business. Therefore, these all strategies will
help to bring necessary changes at work place that is crucial for future betterment and growth of
company.
2. a)Actions need to take on the report of consultant
It is monitored that after leaving the post by previous MD a new female managing directors
occupied the position. Mr Jacobs received ample of problems from both employees as well as
new MD. So, he decided to take an audit by appointing a consultant who monitored whole
situation and prepared a report. There were some suggestions provides in report for the
betterment of company (Iveroth, 2016). It is analyzed that consultant spend nearly a month and
visited all regional offices of organization in order to evaluate the whole situation in better
manner. I were proceed in the following manner with the report of consultant:
As per the consultant, there is requirement to make change in present organizational
structure. It needed to be more traditional such as hierarchical and more. It helps to define roles
and responsibilities of employees at work place that is crucial to a minimize ambiguity and
confusion. It is analyzed that in India most of the small companies adopt such as structure. So, in
order to operate business successfully within country, it is essential to adopt such an
organizational structure. If, I were at the place of Mr Jacobs then make changes in existing
structure as per suggestions. For this, I will take advice of employees, managers and other

persons who are directly related with the situation. In addition, I also provide necessary training
to work force in order to improve their skills, abilities as well as competencies. It is essential to
improve maintain positive environment at work place that is vital to attain predefined objectives.
It is analyzed that employees thought that company is still working at small scale where manages
are responsible for to manage as well as control all operational activities. But, company has
grown significantly. Now, it has presence in different locations of country. In addition, it has
presence in different countries. So, I would communicate with employees and make them
familiar with present situation of company. It will also help to motivate them so that they can
put significant efforts for growth & success of organization.
Through the report present by consultant, it is started that employees are not in favour of
changes. They are against of changes that are being introduced by new managing director for
expansion and growth. So, it is essential to introduce necessary training and development
program within company in order to get support of work force. After getting report from
consultant, I would adopt strategy to facilitate communication with employee in order to get their
opinions, point of view regarding changes within company. In addition, I will also arrange
appropriate training and development program to make work force familiar with the changes and
modifications. It is really essential to get their support and reduce resistance. Here, support of
employees is crucial for betterment of organization as they make use of resources and put their
efforts for the growth and success of company. So, I would take all the necessary steps to get
consent of employees and bring higher coordination & collaboration at work place.
As per the report, it is analyzed that female MD of company wishes to run organization as per
the culture of UK. Here, JI is a UK based company that helps people of India to get international
job (Jackson, 2019) . So, it is essential for staff of India to operate business as per the culture
prevailing within UK. If, I were at the place of Mr Jacobs, I would emphasis on new MD to
adopt the culture and value of country in which business is being operated. To get positive
outcomes and get success in India, it is really essential to first adopt the culture and values
prevailing in country. It will help to operate business in an efficient manner.
Therefore, I will take ample of actions after getting report of consultant. I will undertake
necessary improvements in current organizational structure. In addition, I will arrange necessary
training and development program in order to get support of employees regarding changes in

time.
b)Obstacles and the way to overcome
It is analyzed that there are ample of obstacles will faced by me in order to bring
necessary changes in company. If, I were at the place of Mr Jacobs I will make appropriate
changes in present organizational structure. It is not an easy task as I need to get consensus and
support of employees. In addition, there will be difficulty to bring necessary changes in the
culture, values at work place. Here, MD wishes to run organization as per the culture prevailing
in UK that is creating a lot of problems in business. It also creates ambiguity among work force.
So, it is essential to run organization as per the culture and values of respective country. Further,
it is also analyzed that I will face challenges to bring necessary changes within entity for furthe5
business expansion.
There are several ways by which I can overcome with these obstacles. Most important is
training and development program for employees. It will not only helped to increase in overall
efficiency of work force but also helped me to get support of employees. Here, it is monitored
that support of work force is really important for growth of company. So, I will used ample of
ways to motivate staff members. For this, different techniques of motivation such as monetary
and non monetary can be used in order to bring maximum contribution of employees in
organizational growth. Further, communication also plays a crucial role in solving several
problems. It facilitates better and effective relationship between employer and employees that is
the biggest constraint faced by JI. Therefore, there are ample of obstacles will be faced by me in
order to bring necessary changes in company. For this, I will used several ways such as
motivation, proper communication and more in order to overcome with these challenges. With
this, I will be able to make effective changes within company that is crucial for business
enlargement.
3. a)Action plan
It is monitored that Mr Jacobs is looking forward to expand business in North America and
Australia. Here, they will establish association with public and private limited companies of both
countries. With this, firm will provide opportunities to Indian people to work in both
international countries. On other side, it will be also helpful for the companies to get skilful and
competent candidates from India. So, expansion will help to grow and enlarge business that will

gifts, financial assistance to work force have been stooped. I would like to resume this practice
again in more effective way. It will help to inspire employees to work better for organization that
is essential to increase in overall sales and profit margin of company. In addition, I will work to
bring higher coordination and collaboration among work force in order to minimize conflicts,
ambiguity at work place. With report, it is monitored that employees of head office treat other
people belong form regional office as subordinates that creates differences among work force
and might harm existing brand image and operations of entity. I have plan to formulate informal
groups and facilitate informal meetings, communication among staff members that is vital to
maintain better relationship at work place. This plan will take a lot of time to execute but will
help to attain predefined objectives of organization. Here, it is also significant to evaluate plans
on regular basis in order to get positive outcomes.
b) Obstacles and ways to overcome
There are ample of obstacles have to face while implementing above stated plan. Here, it
is quiet difficult to maintain coordination among managers belong from different countries. It is
monitored that different countries have different culture, values that affect personality of
individuals. Here, two managers from North America and Australia will be appointed in
organization. So, it will difficult to maintain coordination & attain predefined objectives. Further,
they both will be managed by MD working in India. So, it is not easy for competent and
experience person to work under some other person. Further, it is also difficult to maintain
higher coordination and collaboration among work force. Different people have differ et

personality, mindset and views so there are higher probabilities of conflicts among staff
members. In addition, motivated work force is also a difficult task for this I have to analyze
needs and requirements of staff members to motivate them in better manner.
It is monitored that there are several ways to overcome from obstacles. For this, I will
enhance effective coordination at work place so that all the employees can communicate and
interact with each other in an efficient manner. With this, I will be able to resolve grazes,
grievances of employees that is essential to enhance their performance within company. Besides
this, I will interact with work force in order to adopt effective ways of motivation as per their
needs and requirements. It will help me to enhance morale of work force that is crucial to attain
predefined business objectives. In addition, I will provide opportunities to staff members through
informal interaction to have better communication with each other. This will help to enhance
productivity and efficiency of employees. So, it is not easy to execute above stated action plan
but I will use several strategies as well as policies in order to overcome with these obstacles in a
significant manner.

From above discussion, it is summarized that change and transformation is really crucial for
companies to survive in current environment. It can be concluded that manager have to face
ample of challenges while bringing changes in company. For this, it is crucial for managers to
prepare effective strategies in order to introduce changes within organization. It is analyzed that
action plan play a crucial role in getting desired outcomes in a predefined time. Moreover,
changes in business activities, organizational structure bring transformation in organization that
