). Forming joint venture with the company helps the company to properly globalise its products
and services and attains maximum profitability and productivity. Therefore Globalisation refers
to the integrated process which leads to the free movement of the individuals, business
organisation and government worldwide. This research is based on John Lewis, which is a chain
of high end departmental store operating through out the UK. This research will discuss about
that John Lewis will expand its market share in Indonesia by forming Joint venture with Interim
Clothing Company. This project will determine the aims and objectives for the case scenario of
Jon Lewis and will also determine the scope and limitation of the research. Further more it will
also analyse the requirement of the cost and the resources for conducting the research and
determine the risk register that is associated with the proposed research.
Main reason for choosing this topic is to understand the effective way of expanding
business at the international level by forming joint venture with the company. This will enhance
the knowledge that how joint venture of both the companies will enhance the productivity and
the profitability level and maintains long term existence of the company(Bartlett, Doz and

3. Scope and Limitations of proposed research
While conducting research on the specific topic, there are some scope and limitations
which are discussed as follows-
Scope- There is a huge scope as John Lewis is entering into a joint venture so as to fulfil
the demands and requirements of the international markets. This has a higher scope as it will
assist the respective company to enhance its brand image and therefore enhances its profitability
level. Moreover it will enhances knowledge of the researcher about the topic and helps in
meeting the research requirements in a better manner (Beringer, Jonas and Kock, 2013).
Limitations- While conducting the specific research, researcher will face the limitation
of data collection, this will make it difficult for the investigator to complete the research work on
time and attains the successful results. In context to the project manager limitation related to the
project is that of forming joint venture with another company will make difficult to follow
different rules and regulations of the proposed country and may lead to complexities of the
business activities.
4.Resources and cost considerations related to research
Cost- In order to fulfil the research activities it a proper manner, investigator needs
appropriate amount of resources and cost related to research. Therefore it is necessary to estimate
