This is to confirm that Juan David Gonzalez Buitrago was given an appointment to work in
our company since 28/11/16. Vendzone Pty Ltd is an industrial company that was founded in
the year 2009, and it deals with the manufacturing of the automatic vending machine. During
his employment, Mr. Gonzalez Buitrago had a full-time position as a Technical and
Operations Officer for the period 28/11/2016 to 06/04/2018. Gonzalez, throughout his time in
our company, he showed good interpersonal and communication skills. He was organized,
responsible, diligent and hardworking, he was keen to embrace challenges in the working
environment and believed in teamwork.
In his role position, Mr. Gonzalez Buitrago’s main responsibilities are:
 Electronic devices assembly such billing systems, controller’s motherboard, lift and
refrigeration board, sensors, and others. These assemblies are set up depending on
the product to dispense. Payment systems that allow one to transact for the product
and can detect the type and authenticity of the currency. Computer systems
incorporated to communicate with a motor that controls the metal spiral which in turn
drops the selected item. Sensors that help in controlling conditions inside the
machine,
 Readjusting vending machine configuration depending on what is to a vendor, and
this includes shelf displacing and re-bolting, tray reconfiguration. The configurations
that vary depending on the type of product the machine is vending, trays configured
for cans, snacks, and others. And finally securing metallic dividers with rivets or
screws for firm support of internal components. Coin return motor and bracket are
held to the coin dispensing mechanism and coin receiving mechanism fastened using
screws and nuts
 Installing integrated circuits such as motherboards, lift boards, refrigeration boards if
needed to guarantee an up-to-date configuration compatible with new technologies.
As part of the technical service, it may also be required to replace faulty components
including capacitors in the refrigeration system as well as other electrical
components.
 Connecting electronic components using wires thus ensures proper and successful
communication of components inside the machine. The keypad or control panel is
connected to the controller by wires, coin hopper is connected to the power supply,
the motor is connected to the controller using wires and different sensors are also
connected to the controller by wires and other. Soldering may applicable in some
cases
 Mounting vending machines that were manufactured somewhere else and brought it
as part of modifications to machines. The modern control unit, sensors, control unit
among other technologies are shipped and mounted at the company
 Assembling and installing mechanical parts of the vending machine such as hinges,
locks, handles, levers such as coin return lever and other actuators, hinges of the
delivery bin and other mechanical parts. A door is coupled to the machine housing by
hinged joint.
 Using power tools to shape and alter mechanical parts to perform a specific task.
Steel that makes up the outer part (cabinet), machine doors, is cut to specific shape
and size. Spiral wire and feeder stack are made to a specific shape, with the aid of
power tools

 Linking telemetry units to customers’ accounts and testing the complete integration of
these units with the vending machine. This may require changes of firmware, change
of Eprom or change of settings.
 Coordinating field services to support customers’ needs once machines are fully
operational. Keep field records and ensure installations are compliant with electrical
standards. Provide a guide to the client on the basic operations on the machine.
Ensure the vend process performs as expected.
 Testing vending machines functionality and making suggestions about changes in
design, which helps to improve the smooth operation of the machine thus minimizing
the risk of failure. Checking the status of operational, checking if the delivery bin latch
mechanism is working as expected, check whether the coin return and dispensing of
product is functioning correctly.
 Monitoring vending machines remote reports based on DEX (Data Exchange)
protocol, by retrieving and analyzing information sent in real time to the back-end
server. The report gives information on operational status and other setup
information.
