Question 1: What are the major things you like about this class?
Context: This question was asked as the child was very talkative and very opinionated most of
the time. He was also giving certain remarks and certain judgments about his interest in studies
and activities. The child was at times found a little distressed and was even crying when the
activities were not as per his choice.
Teacher: This was to check his preferred academic subjects and activities in class as I thought
he was having proper learning in the class and is not able to explore his full potential in the class.
I also wanted to make sure he is involved in all the activities and have a proper outlook for all the
things. I had a feeling that a child might be having certain issues with other children and teachers
as well.
Question 2: Why were you playing with the toys in the drawing class?
Context: The child playing with the toys most of the time of the day and instead of paying
attention to the teacher and their instructions the child prefers to play with the toys. This has been
influencing other children also to play with toys rather than following the teacher’s instructions.
Teacher: I saw that the child has still attachment to toys and other distractive things in the class
and he has not yet understood the meaning and concept of school. Thus to make him more
inclined towards school decorum the question was necessary. This was to make him understand
the need to learn other activities in school as well and make effective application of them in the
future development of the student. This was done to ensure discipline in the child and make him
more comfortable with other students as well.
Question 3: Why didn’t you want to play with other children in the class?
Context: The child was found playing or sitting alone during the classes as well as during recess.
This was noticed by other teachers as well. Whenever there is any class the child is hesitant to
ask for help and supplies from other students thus raising an alarm for us to understand the
nature and cause of this introvert behavior.

Teacher: I was concerned that the child might develop a tendency to stay alone and aloof from
other children. This can harm further mental and social development of the child and he might
not accept social values quickly. I have noticed him avoiding conversations with other children
whenever they try to talk to him, thus I wanted to know is there any special reason for him to do
so or he is just too shy to talk to them. If the issue is serious I might have to take advice from a
medical professional as well.
Question 4: Why were you teasing other children for their outfit?
Context: This little girl has always been teasing other girls and boys about the color and quality
of their outfit. This has led certain children to raise a complaint and even found crying due to
constant comments and highlighting of this issue.
Teacher: I believe the girl has a particular interest in clothing and fashion sense. There might
some instances she would have picked up from a family that has been applied by her in this way.
Moreover, I suppose she doesn’t really know that criticism should be done publically. I asked her
this question to check her views on this scenario and develop an effective practice for her to not
talk in such a manner. I wanted to reduce the chances of her becoming a bully in the future.
Question 5: Why do you cry before coming to school?
Context: Most of the time the child is found heavily crying while coming to school. His parents
are also confused and concerned as to how can they develop his habit to come happily. Many
fellow teachers have tried to convince and talk to him about the cause but the situation is exact
currently. Some other students also have similar behavior as is affecting the perception of the
parents about the school. This was noticed by other parents as well as they are concerned about
the educational facilities and development initiatives are taken by the school.
Teacher: I wanted to know the underlying issues with the child as to whether he is having some
problem with the school, some teachers or he is being troubled by some fellow students. This
was necessary to know whether the child is getting bullied at school or not and maybe he is not
able to share his problem. I also wanted to know whether he is having a certain medical
condition or not.

Question 6: Why do you cry while returning to your house?
Context: This has been observed many times that the child didn’t want to go back to his home at
the end of the day. When forcing him to go he starts to cry aloud. Even though he is friendly and
well-behaved child he is always upset while going back to school. The parents try to question
him but the answers are very vague and dissatisfactory.
Teacher: My major aim to ask this question was to know the major reason for his this attitude. I
studied the class behavior and his performance in the class they are all accurate and his behavior
with other children is also good. This raised certain analysis like maybe he is not getting treated
properly at house or maybe he is not given enough time and attention. Another reason may be he
is lonely at the house and here he has many companions to share his views and play with.
Question 7: Do you have any favorite teacher or subject in this school?
Context: The student was seen fonder of one of her teacher who teaches art in the school. The
student is performing well in that particular subject and is more participative in that class as
compared to other classes. Even in recess and play time, the student was found near to that
particular teacher in spite of playing with fellow classmates.
Teacher: This question was asked to understand what particular behavior of that teacher actually
attracted that student. I thought maybe the student is more interested in arts and learning from
that teacher has developed a special affection in her. Apart from that, I wanted to know whether
the choice is her or she is under any influence. This was asked to know her academic preference
and needs in the future.
Question 8: Do you all the subjects and activities taught to you or only a few of them?
Context: There are always certain subjects more preferred in class as compared to others. This
develops a perception among the children. Students are found performing well in these subjects
and gradually losing interest in other important subjects.
Teacher: Being a teacher it is my responsibility to take feedback and assess the needs of people
around in order to develop an effective curriculum for the children. These questions will help me
to analyze the type of course content or presentation is more chosen by an individual instead of

others. This will help me to improve the current course structure and will help in the
development of future values for the students.
Question 9: Do you study or play with your parents at home?
Context: There are many children who lack particular attachment with their parents and their
parents do not give sufficient time to them, this affects their development. I have seen children
with active parents deliver active and better performance in class moreover they are more
attentive and participative. The teachers are also very comfortable with them and they are not
needed to put extra efforts to deal with these children.
Teacher: Some of the children usually come to me with more query as compared to others. The
main cause behind this is the lack of attention and interest by parents. Eventually, the child has to
study themselves and ask query to the teacher. I have asked many parents to give at least one
hour to their children and make an effort to spend time with them otherwise the child will not be
able to learn quickly.
Question 10: Do you like the colors and the decoration of the school and would you like to
change anything?
Context: Many students find it very attractive to see colorful walls and cartoons printed on that.
On the other hand, there are many children who are very creative and always tries to add some
more creativity and participation in the school decorations.
Teacher: I am always interested in taking ideas and feedback from the students to develop their
creativity and interest in the school. By asking this question I wanted to learn about the general
outlook of the students and their outlook regarding school.
