Kangaroo Point is a 1.33 km district in a peninsula positioned in the east through the
Brisbane Waterway from the Brisbane central commercial district, Queensland. The district is
identified for abseiling and rock climbing at the Kangaroo Point Cliff. One more noticeable
attraction is the Story Bridge which can be mounted with the authorized tourist crowds. The
location on the Kangaroo Point provides a remarkable opinion of Brisbane and the long expanse
of the River in Brisbane.
It has the maximum percentage of people existing in high growth apartments towards the
slope of the peninsula and low-medium housing apartments and households in the different end.
Only 17.16% were the houses, and the supreme number of houses are flats, apartments and units.

History:-
It is one the old suburb in the Brisbane city. Turrbal persons settled and occupied in
Brisbane preceding the British time. The district in 1900 had a standing for mobs that instigated
disorder and road fierceness with several riots (Gulson et al. 2016). A surveyor in 1823 called
John Oxley termed the district as a "jungle". Because in those time it was covered with
mangroves with the open woodland, covered with small and big grass.
In the middle of 1825 to the end of 1841, this location was vacant, and farming of crops
developed its use. On the later years, in 1843, the first land purchase by the J.C. Wickman who is
the Police Official in Brisbane. After the one years in 1844, the first household in the Kangaroo
Point was made by James Warner. This place is designing by more solid rhyolite stone. The

rocks from the cliffs were extracted and used as constructing materials. In the year 1930s, the
steam engines were built by Phelan and Anderson for the Railways in Queensland. The

Significance:-
It is a most considerable part of the Brisbane city. This place is seamlessly placed to
directing the Metropolitan Botanic Gardens on the opposite bank of the Brisbane River, and the
rock faces are widespread with rock climbers, picnickers, sun-seekers and joggers (Chhetri et al.
2014). The base and top of the sea cliff are currently imaginary recreational regions, with long
tracks for beautiful walks and green gardens perfect for picnics and barbecues.
The long walkway at the lowermost of the cliffs behind the river is familiar with cyclists,
joggers, and rollerblades. At the final portion of Kangaroo Point is the Floor Bridge, frequently
