INTRODUCTION
Business Environment is the combination of internal and external factors which
influences the company's overall productively. However, the external factors within an
organisation are beyond the control of business and they affect the functioning. It primarily
includes competitors, customers, government and several other factors. Whereas the internal
factors are significantly controlled by businesses so that desired business objective is achieved
effectively. Furthermore, business environment is dynamic in structure which keeps on changing.
This report is based on Kent County Council which is a country council that governs in England.
It has 84 elected councillors in which chief executive and chief officers who are responsible for
day-to-day functioning (Allen and Truman, 2016). The council is responsible for public services
that are education, transport, social services, public safety and several others such services. The
outcome of this report will cover several aspects. Like an understanding of nature of
environment which is operated by respective company. Impact of environmental forces on
organisation in context to micro and micro level. Furthermore, variety of stakeholders of the
respective organisation is considered. Lastly the effective policy action taken by stakeholders are
considered in detail.
2 Demonstrate an understanding of environment that organisation operates in.
Kent County Council is the democratically elected strategic authority. It is the local
authority which came under the power of Local Government Act 2000. It primarily aims at
promoting and improving economic, social and environmental well being (Alpar and Schulz,
2016). Furthermore, also have statutory responsibility regarding the provision of several
services.
Prime motive of this council is to improve quality of life by serving the people. Some of
the most common steps taken by the respective council are mentioned below:
Arranging several types delivery services and order to serve all Kent residents and
council tax payers.
Following clear as well as accountable community leadership with accordance to the
situation prevailing is the objective of Kent Council.
Proper coordination among the Kent Council and effectively making most appropriate

strategy basically focuses on recognising and addressing the challengers which are faced. The
prime objective of Kent is continuously support economic growth and protecting the social care
and health of people.

There are two kinds of external environment: micro and macro. These environmental
factors are usually beyond the control of marketers. But these factors highly influences the
decision of respective organisation.
Micro Environment Factors:
Service Users: Service Users are the reason behind which all the major activities are
performed by Kent Council. However technology adopted by respective organisation
impacts the satisfaction level enormously (Bonnitcha and McCorquodale, 2017). With
respect to social care and health, technology plays a very significant role.
General Public: The respective organisation has a duty to satisfy the needs of general
public at any cost. The public have power to easily reach the goals and they also prevent

will show a positive response within an organisation. Whereas there are huge chances of
increasing competition because new firms will try adopting the same technology implemented by
respective organisation.
However, the environmental force under local authorities play a very crucial under
several conditions. Through implementation of several attractive policies the overall functioning
within an organisation shall be enhanced. Furthermore, before driving to a particular decision in
context to implementation of new technology each and every business related aspects much be
analysed in detail keeping in mind the market conditions.
5 Demonstrate an understanding of requirement of a variety of stakeholders to a chosen
organisation
Health care system is basically intended to provide several services and resources with
provide assistance to public. Furthermore, health system highly impacts the socio-economic and
political framework of respective country. Whereas stakeholders significantly affects the
organisation's actions, objectives and policies. Moreover, within an organisation stakeholders
plays a very crucial role. Stakeholders can be internal or external. Internal stakeholders are
whose interest in a company comes through direct relationship. Whereas, stakeholders do not
have direct relationship (Crush and Ramachandran, 2015). However, within Kent Council the
stakeholders are integrally involved in healthcare system. The major stakeholders in healthcare
system are mentioned below:
Patients: Patients have ethical responsibility towards their own health. Some major
