Executive summary
In the case study- “Kerr Deliveries” is one of the service oriented company. They are
doing a courier service in the market. As it is a period of globalisation, therefore the company
must adopts several systems for their businesses in order to stay safe and that too for
conducting its business in the right track. Robert Kerr is a very successful company that is
located in the NSW since the year 1995. This report is going to present some
recommendations about which computer the company should buy. After the researching
process, I came to the conclusion that it should buy Dell desktop, Samsung PDS and the
Toshiba laptop. The research is going to present why this company should purchase this
brands.

Introduction
The case study has presented Kerr Deliveries as a small company that is operated by Robert
Kerr and some of his associated. The company supplies services by cars, vans or sometimes
bicycles for their clients all across the regional NSW and Sydney. As because of the fact that
the business is expanding with a fast pace and Robert wants to expand his business in
Brisbane, Canberra and Melbourne in between couple of months, he wants to buy some more
computers.
Overall goals
The main purpose of the case study is to solve out the problems as an Information
Technology expert. Without the help of IT, it would be really difficult to further develop the
business. As this current era is all about globalisation, hence, the company must adopts
several systems for their businesses in order to stay safe and that too for conducting its
business in the right track. Robert Kerr is a very successful company that is located in the
NSW since the year 1995. I am working as one of his assistants. This report is going to
present some recommendations about which computer the company should buy. However,
the primary objective of this research report is to conduct the report and recommend proper
solution for the transformation procedure of the workplace environment for efficient
development and management.
Methodology
Methodology in a research refers to the data about the different tools that are used for
attaining the desired objective in a systematic way1.

Data Collection Methods
The data collection methods is the methods that could be referred to as the process of
collecting and measuring all the data and information over the targeted variables that are
gathered, in a structured and systematic manner. There are two groups in which this methods
can be classified and they are- the Primary data collection method and the Secondary data
collection method. The former one deals with the techniques of interviews, surveys and
conducting questionnaires along with small number of people. The later one deals with the
several sources of information that could be gathered such as the peer reviewed journals,
newspaper articles or the related others. In order to conduct this research in a proper and
efficient way, the primary data collection method has been used. A small survey was
conducted with a total of 45 number of employees. 25 respondents were working in five
different organisations that are associated with the manufacturing process of computers,
laptops and other electronics and the rest 20 are the common users.
Data Analysis Methods
The data analysis methods is the process of modelling the data and information that are
gathered. It is about inspecting them, cleaning them and transforming them with an aim of
supporting the process of decision making and then discovering some helpful details and
information to reach out to a conclusion. Like the data collection methods, there are two
types of data analysis methods as well. They are qualitative data analysis method and
quantitative data analysis method. The former one refers to the range of processes where the
researcher moves from the data that are gathered into some forms of interpretation,
understanding or explanation of the investigated scenarios. The later one refers to a very
systematic way of conducting the process of investigation strategies while collecting the
numerical data and information that enables the researchers to transform the things that are
noticed within numerical data. In order to conduct this research in a proper and efficient way,

quantitative data collection method has been used. The data and information that are gathered
during the survey of 45 respondents are assessed and analysed well.
Findings and discussions
The findings and discussion section demonstrates the discussions that are been analysed after
assessing the tables and charts and all the other related data and information of the different
requirements of the computer. It demonstrates the various different sources that a person
could choose for the better selection of computer purchases.
For this, there are many different findings and discussions and they are-
- A person must visit different stores or computer hubs for getting accurate,
comparative and the actual information related to the computer system
- With the same, the findings also include that the detailed information for the selection
of the computer systems with their specifications. It comprise of the recommendations
as- one laptop is necessary for each and every staff. However, the complete
requirement is- 10 desktop computers for the administrative staffs, seven lightweight
laptops and near about 21 to 25 PDA’s for the delivery drivers. This range can be
changeable as per the requirement of manpower

The Recruitment methodology for the training of new staffs
There are several different methods for recruiting new candidates or staff members for the
different profile. The responsibilities and the task are mentioned below:
Administrative staff- they too must have proper experience in this filed. They should be very
much adaptive so that to adjust in the working environment.
Sales person- He or she must have proper experience in the sales and marketing field. They
must be one of the best conveners in order to activate the customer’s interest in the purchase
making of a product2.
Delivery driver-This profile demands physical fitness as well as active person for the making
of online deliveries. The candidates for this post should have their very own vehicle for the
making of deliveries along with authentic license as well. He should be physically and

products3.

- Name the operating system that should be used in each and every electronic devices.
Conclusion
After analysing the above discussion, It can be concluded that it is very important to change
or transform the systems into the electronic form to ensure that there is smooth running of all
and that the company is running along with the rapidly moving marketing strategy and trades.
With the same, it is also good recruit the candidates for the designation in order to promote
further variation in the working environment.
Recommendations
RTD could be applied for the present situation of the company4. For example, the
communication and collaboration, the intranet and extranet and the different marketing
strategy as such. The RTD has few issues to solve these. They should firstly identify the
requirements of the business with the requirements of information system.

Also, it is recommended to opt access all the systems for the recording of the information
within the time frame and time to time. It is also necessary to analyse the cost of computer
systems from the various different computer enterprises.
Furthermore, it is recommended to order the systems in offline mode for buying in order to
ensure a proper verification trainings of the systems as well as operations.
